We bring you last week's top performances from Slovakians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Anton Gavel (189-84, agency: Pro One Sports), who plays in the German BBL. He could not help Brose Baskets (28-4) in their last game. Despite Gavel's very good performance the league leader Brose Baskets lost in an overtime 103-107 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Bayern Muenchen. He scored 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 40 minutes on the court. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Gavel has relatively good stats this year: 10.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.8apg, 1.1spg, 3FGP: 41.7% and FT: 79.3% in the 31 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Slovakian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, agency: Beo Basket, college: St.Cloud St.). Rancik led Azovmash to a victory against the closely-ranked Hoverla (22-17) 103-93 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Tuesday. He recorded 13 points (made all of his seven free throws). Azovmash Mariupol (26-13) is placed third in the Superleague. This season Rancik averages: 8.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 2FGP: 44.3%, 3FGP: 31.1% and FT: 82.8%. He played for the Slovakian national team in 2010.

   #3. The Slovakian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Peter Sedmak (207-85), who plays in the Czech Republic NBL. Sedmak was not able to help USK Praha (32-0) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the first-placed USK Praha lost 67-76 in Decin to the lower-ranked (#3) BK Decin in the A1 group. Sedmak was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 38 minutes. Sedmak is currently first on the league's list of top scorers with 19.7ppg. This year his other stats are: 5.0rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 50.4%, 3FGP: 38.0% and FT: 62.7% in the 36 games. Ex-Chemosvit Svit player is also a member of the Slovakian senior national team.

   #4. Forward Dusan Pandula (196-84) contributed to an easy victory against the leader NH Ostrava (26-14) 90-71 in the Czech Republic NBL in Friday night's game. Pandula scored 7 points, made 5 passes and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group A1. BK Prostejov (25-11) is placed second. Pandula's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2apg. He is also Slovakian national team player.

   #5. Former U16 international guard Oliver Tot (199-94) was the major contributor in a 1-point Inter Bratislava's victory against the seventh-ranked BK Loko Plzen (10-30) 61-60 in the Czech Republic NBL last Wednesday. Tot scored 16 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 4 balls in 29 minutes. BK Inter Bratislava (10-30) is placed sixth in A2 group. This year Tot's overall stats are: 2.8ppg, 1.4rpg and 1.3apg in the 36 games. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Slovakian. Despite Tot played previously for the Serbian national team, he is currently in the Slovakian U16 national team roster.

   #6. Guard Richard Kucsa (189-85) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oliver Tot. But that was another game of his team in Czech Republic NBL which we would like to mention. Kucsa contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked B&W Opava (9-31) crushing them 80-59. He scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. BK Inter Bratislava (10-30) is placed sixth in A2 group. Kucsa's total stats this season are: 5.6ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.7apg. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Kucsa is also a former international player as he played for the Slovakian senior team two years ago.

   #7. Former international forward Marek Kozlik (187-86), who plays in the Czech Republic NBL was not able to secure a victory for BK Loko Plzen (10-30) in their last game. Despite his very good performance BK Loko Plzen (#7) lost 85-96 in Opava to the lower-ranked (#8) B&W Opava in the A2 group. Kozlik was the second best scorer with 17 points in 32 minutes. This year Kozlik's total stats are: 8.5ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.6apg in the 45 games. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Kozlik is currently in the Slovakian national team roster.

   #8. Forward Andrej Kuffa (203-90) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oliver Tot. He played also in the last Czech Republic NBL game facing Richard Kucsa (above) in the other team. Kuffa contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked B&W Opava (9-31) crushing them 80-59. He scored 12 points and added 4 passes. It's Kuffa's fourth season with the team. Kuffa has averaged so far 8.9ppg and 3.6rpg. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Kuffa is currently in the Slovakian national team roster.

Former international power forward Justin Sedlak (205-87, college: Florida Tech) contributed to a Caceres 2016's victory against the league outsider Clinicas Rincon (6-27) 67-62 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Saturday night. He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 18 minutes. Caceres 2016 C.B. (20-4) is placed first in the LEB Gold. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Sedlak's first season with the team. Sedlak has averaged so far 4.8ppg and 2.6rpg in the 31 games. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Sedlak is currently in the Slovakian national team roster.

Power forward Stefan Svitek (203-77) helped Basket Esch win their game against the second-ranked Soleuvre (12-12) crushing them 86-65 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League in Saturday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group 7-10 places. Basket Esch (15-9) is placed first. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. The Second Stage already ended. Svitek is currently fifth on the league's list of best rebounders. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Svitek averages: 18.0ppg, 10.9rpg and 1.7apg. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Svitek is also a former international player as two years ago he still played for the Slovakian senior national team.

   #11. International power forward Jozef Vojtek (203-85) couldn't help Levice in their game against CEZ Nymburk in the Czech Republic NBL. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 20 minutes. His team was crushed by 31 points 83-52. Vojtek has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 3.0rpg in the 37 games. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Vojtek is currently in the Slovakian national team roster.

   #12. U18 international forward Viktor Dedecek (200-93) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oliver Tot and both played together in the last Czech Republic NBL game. Dedecek helped Inter Bratislava edge the seventh-ranked BK Loko Plzen 61-60. He scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Dedecek has averaged so far 1.4ppg and 1.3rpg. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Dedecek is currently in the Slovakian U18 national team roster.

   #13. Former U20 international forward Tomas Durana (198-89) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oliver Tot. He played also in the last Czech Republic NBL game facing Viktor Dedecek (above) in the other team. Durana helped Inter Bratislava edge the seventh-ranked BK Loko Plzen 61-60. He scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. Durana has averaged so far 5.3ppg and 2.1rpg in the 37 games. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Durana is currently in the Slovakian U20 national team roster.

   #14. Former international guard Jaroslav Musil (189-89) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oliver Tot. He played also in the last Czech Republic NBL game facing Andrej Kuffa (above) in the other team. Musil helped Inter Bratislava win their game against the eighth-ranked B&W Opava crushing them 80-59. He scored 7 points and had 3 steals. Musil has averaged so far 4.1ppg and 1.4rpg. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Musil is currently in the Slovakian national team roster.

   #15. Former U20 international swingman Miroslav Zilik (197-89) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oliver Tot. However that was another game of his team in Czech Republic NBL which brought him to that list. Zilik couldn't help Inter Bratislava in their game against BK Usti nad Labem. He recorded 8 points in 18 minutes. His team was crushed by 23 points 78-55. Zilik has averaged so far 3.8ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.1spg in the 40 games. Despite he played previously for the Serbian national team, Zilik is currently in the Slovakian U20 national team roster.

BK Inter Bratislava (SBL) added to their roster 27-year old American point guard James Kinney (187-82kg-90, college: San Jose State, agency: Octagon Europe). He played recently at Szolnoki Olajbanyasz in Hungarian A Division, but left the team earlier this month. In 8 games he recorded 9.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.4apg and 1.6spg this season. Serbian Guard Stefan Matovic (203-G-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Kosice, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26. The 25-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Iskra Svit (#6, 12-12) 94-79. It allowed Kosice to consolidate first place in the Slovakian SBL. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. The most important game in the last round took place in Nova Ves between second ranked Inter Bratislava (18-6) and tenth ranked Nova Ves (4-20) on Wednesday night. Inter Bratislava was defeated by Nova Ves in a tough game on the road 86-92.
