Slovak Republic edged Netherlands in Sofia in the last game for the Classification Round for 9th to 18th Place in Division B in U20 European Championship. The winning side finished second in Group G with 3-1 record, while Netherlands are third with 2-2 record.
Netherlands won the first period 13-10 and Ivan Filipan (193-G/F-92) nailed three for 16:12. Slovak Republic however needed to keep the opponents scoreless for the last 4 minutes in the second frame and grabbed 23:21 lead at the halftime. Slovak Republic added 13-11 in the third quarter and Jan Brutovsky (188-G-93) brought 36:32. Another 19-15 in the last quarter brought the final victory for Slovakia.
Jaroslav Moravek (204-F/C-92) top-scored for the winners with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Viktor Dedecek (200-F-93) added 13. Jan Brutovsky delivered 11 and Matus Luley (195-F-92) notched 7. Joel Brandt (195-F-92) replied with 16 points in the losing effort and Ivan Filipan had 7.

Serbian Aleksa Solevic (188-G-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Nova Ves and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 43.
