A bad start caused problems in champion team family of BC Prievidza. It is true that the squad led by coach Jamie Andrisevic lost only first two matches of the season but there were another four L's in the pre-season, making it six-in-a-row. Supporters immediately called for a revisions including prompt department of new coach. Except bad results and unsatisfying performances of the team which wanted to compete for a title, there were other issues that were fans not liking. As we published earlier in September, fans favorite Sullivan Phillips (198-G/F-79, college: Wash.Adventist) was reportedly turned down by the coach. Club released that time only a short statement, that "Sulli decided to play abroad". After second round there was made a clear decision of the management firing Andrisevic and replacing him by assistant Martin Blaho who already lost his big premiere as head-coach against BK Iskra Svit. After leading by almost 20 points in first half, BC Prievidza was not able to complete the match in front and claim two points. The club is currently looking for a new coach.
