#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, agency: Beo Basket, college: St.Cloud St., currently plays in Czech Republic). He led CEZ Nymburk to a 3-point victory over the sixth-ranked BK Prostejov (5-5) 76-73 in the Czech Republic NBL in Saturday night's game.
Rancik was MVP of the game. He scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 30 minutes on the court.
CEZ Basketball Nymburk (10-0) is placed first in the NBL.
So far his team won all ten games in the Regular Season.
Rancik has relatively good stats this year: 12.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.8apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 45.5%, 3FGP: 45.5% and FT: 83.3% in the five games he played so far.
Former BK Inter Bratislava starter played for the Slovakian senior national team two years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Anton Gavel (188-84, agency: Pro One Sports, currently plays in Germany). He led Brose Baskets to a victory over the 15th-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (2-5) 76-67 in the German BBL last Monday.
Gavel was the best player in that game. He recorded 19 points and added 4 assists.
Brose Baskets Bamberg (5-1) is placed second in the BBL.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Gavel's fourth year with the team.
Gavel is currently seventh on the list of best passers.
He has very reliable stats this season: 12.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.8apg, 2FGP: 66.7%(16-24), 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 68.4%.
Gavel is in the roster of the Slovakian senior national team.
#3. The Slovakian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Peter Sedmak (207-85, currently plays in Czech Republic). He was the major contributor in a BK Decin's victory against the tenth-ranked BK Usti nad Labem (3-8) 85-74 in the Czech Republic NBL on Wednesday night.
Sedmak had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds in 34 minutes.
BK Decin (6-3) is placed fourth in the NBL.
Sedmak is currently ninth on the league's list of top scorers with 15.2ppg.
This year his other stats are: 5.4rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 51.9%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 71.0% in the nine games.
Sedmak played for the Slovakian national team one years ago.
#4. Power forward Justin Sedlak (205-87, college: Florida Tech, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan could not help Solna Vikings (5-4) in their last game. Despite Sedlak's very good performance Solna Vikings was edged 85-82 on the road by the leading Sundsvall Dragons.
He was the second best scorer with 16 points in 23 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Sedlak's second season in pro basketball. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
This year Sedlak has relatively solid stats: 13.8ppg and 5.2rpg in the six games.
He used to play for the Slovakian national team
back in 2010.
#5. Former U20 international forward Richard Lesko (204-81, college: Ill.-Chicago, currently plays in Czech Republic) contributed to a Basketbal Svitavy's victory against the closely-ranked Levharti Chomutov (2-6) 87-77 in the Czech Republic NBL on Saturday night.
Lesko recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Turi Svitavy (3-7) is placed ninth in the NBL.
It's Lesko's first season with the team.
His overall stats this year are: 6.6ppg and 3.0rpg.
Lesko used to play for the Slovakian U20 national team
thirteen years ago.
#6. Swingman Martin Sykora (192-81, currently plays in Czech Republic), who plays in the Czech Republic NBL was not able to help Levice (4-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance Levice was edged 80-77 at home by the lower-ranked (#10) BK Usti nad Labem.
Sykora was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 26 minutes.
This year Sykora's overall stats are: 6.6ppg and 3.5rpg in the 10 games.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Slovakian National Team roster.
#7. Former international center Martin Miklosik (225-86, currently plays in Czech Republic) was not able to secure a victory for B&W Opava (2-8) in their game against BK Lions Hradec (2-8) in the Czech Republic NBL. Despite his very good performance last Saturday He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Miklosik also added 4 shots.
Miklosik is currently second on the league's list of best blockers.
This season he averages: 6.2ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.6bpg.
Worth to mention Miklosik played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Miklosik used to play for the Slovakian national team
two years ago.
#8. Shooting guard Roman Marko (194-86, currently plays in Czech Republic) faced previously mentioned Radoslav Rancik in the Czech Republic NBL last game.
Marko couldn't help BK Prostejov (5-5) in their game against CEZ Nymburk (10-0).
He scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
BK Prostejov was edged 76-73 on their home court in Prostejov by the leading CEZ Nymburk.
They ended the series of four consecutive victories.
Marko's total stats this season are: 6.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.0apg.
He plays currently for the Slovakian national team.
#9. International small forward Dusan Pandula (196-84, currently plays in Czech Republic) is a teammate of previously mentioned Roman Marko and both played together in the last Czech Republic NBL game.
Pandula couldn't help BK Prostejov (5-5) in their game against CEZ Nymburk (10-0).
He scored 9 points in 25 minutes.
But BK Prostejov was edged 76-73 on their home court in Prostejov by the leading CEZ Nymburk.
This year Pandula's total stats are: 9.9ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.7apg in the 10 games.
He is also in the roster of the Slovakian national team.
#10. Center Boris Bojanovsky (221-93, currently plays in NCAA1) couldn't help the Florida St. (0-0) in their game against the University of South Alabama (0-0) in the NCAA. He cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones.
Bojanovsky recorded only 2 points in 10 minutes.
The Florida St. lost 71-76 on their home court in Tallahassee, FL to the University of South Alabama.
But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.
Bojanovsky has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.1ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg in the seven games.
Bojanovsky is U20 international player who is currently on the Slovakian National Team roster.

#1.Darius Silinskis (216-C-84, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Lithuania) was the major contributor in Nevezis' victory against the league outsider Naglis Palangos (0-7) 84-74 in the Lithuanian LKL in Friday night's game.
He scored 12 points and blocked 5 blocks.
Nevezis Kedainiai (2-4) is placed ninth in the LKL.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
Silinskis is currently second on the list of best blockers.
This season he averages: 5.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.3apg and 2.2bpg.
#2.Lukas Varga (183-G-85, college: Coker, currently plays in Denmark) led Horsens IC to a 3-point victory against the seventh-ranked Randers (3-7) 89-86 in the Danish Ligaen on Wednesday night.
He scored 12 points in 29 minutes.
Horsens IC (7-3) is placed third in the Ligaen.
This year Varga's total stats are: 4.4ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.4spg in the 10 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: German and Slovakian.
#3. Experienced Stefan Svitek (203-F/C-77, currently plays in Luxembourg) led Basket Esch to a victory against the closely-ranked Residence (3-4) 93-79 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League on Saturday night.
Svitek recorded 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Basket Esch (1-4) is placed seventh in the Diekirch League.
Svitek belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #5.
He has individually a very good season with high stats. Svitek averages: 17.1ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg.
#4.Filip Kramer (200-SF-92, currently plays in Austria), who plays in the Austrian A Bundesliga could not help Kapfenberg Bulls (3-2) to beat BC Vienna (2-3). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones.
Kramer scored only 2 points.
Kapfenberg Bulls was defeated 87-76 on the road by the higher-ranked BC Vienna (#3).
Kramer has averaged so far 3.2ppg and 3.6rpg.
He is another player who holds two passports: Slovakian and Austrian.

Lapuan Korikobrat (Korisliiga) inked 28-year old American guard Mario Edwards (191-90kg-88, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates). He played most recently at BK Esprit Kosice in Slovakian SBL league. Edwards managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 34 SBL games he averaged 8.2ppg, 4.4rpg and 4.1apg. He also played 1 game in VTB United League, but he did not score anything and had only 1 rebound and 1 assist. Edwards was selected to Kosovo League All-Star Game back in 2012. He is a very experienced player. Edwards has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Edwards has played previously professionally in Austria (Redwell Gunners Oberwart), Brazil (Liga Sorocaba), Hungary (Sopron KC), Kosovo (Peja) and ABA (S.Carolina W.). He attended Coastal Carolina College until 2010 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
