The most exciting game of round 13 in the Extraliga took place in Levice. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Nova Ves (7-5) to third ranked Levice (8-3) 92-90 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nova Ves. Nova Ves trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 29-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 90-92 at the end of the game. Levice made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. American forward Jeremy Simmons (204-F-89, agency: Interperformances, college: Charleston) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian center Salih Nuhanovic (208-82) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Levice's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette, agency: Edge Sports) produced 27 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Levice moved-up to second place. Nova Ves at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost. Levice are looking forward to face Prievidza (#6) at home in the next round. Nova Ves will play against Nitra in Nitra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nitra. First ranked Komarno faced their biggest opponent Nitra. Guests from Komarno (9-2) defeated host Nitra (8-4) 73-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Nitra. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kevin Thompson (205-89, college: Morgan St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Amin Stevens contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Komarno's coach Frantisek Ron allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho) answered with 15 points for Nitra. Komarno maintains first place with 9-2 record. Nitra at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Komarno will play against SKP Banska Bystrica (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nitra will play against Nova Ves (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Handlova will play against Inter Bratislava (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Prievidza was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Inter Bratislava (6-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Prievidza (5-6). Prievidza defeated Inter Bratislava 91-77. Joseph Harris nailed 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side. Prievidza's coach Raul Jimenez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 5-6 record. Inter Bratislava at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Prievidza's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Levice on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Inter Bratislava will play against Handlova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best stats of 13th round was 22 points and 8 rebounds by Kenneth Henderson of Svit.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nitra. First ranked Komarno faced their biggest opponent Nitra. Guests from Komarno (9-2) defeated host Nitra (8-4) 73-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Nitra. The game was mostly controlled by Komarno. Nitra was better in fourth quarter 17-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Komarno forced 20 Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kevin Thompson (205-89, college: Morgan St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Svit - Handlova 82-69

Bottom-ranked Svit managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses on Saturday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked Handlova 82-69. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Svit's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-19 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Handlova's 32. They outrebounded Handlova 50-29 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Svit made 8 blocks. American guard Curtis Allen (193-86, college: ORU, agency: TSS Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Kenneth Henderson (201-82, college: Texas Arlington) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Prievidza - Inter Bratislava 91-77

The game in Prievidza was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Inter Bratislava (6-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Prievidza (5-6). Prievidza defeated Inter Bratislava 91-77. It looked good early as Inter Bratislava took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Prievidza had a 26-13 second period charge getting the lead and Inter Bratislava was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-91. Prievidza made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Inter Bratislava helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Joseph Harris (196-87, college: Co.Carolina) nailed 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Paul Gause (180-86, college: Seton Hall, agency: I.D.S. Law) accounted for 21 points and 4 steals. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Prievidza's coach Raul Jimenez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Serbian guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) came up with 23 points and 8 assists and the former international forward Andrej Kuffa (203-90) added 18 points respectively for Inter Bratislava in the defeat. Prievidza's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Levice on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Defending champion BC Prievidza (SBL) landed 31-year old American (has also Swedish passport) point guard Omar Krayem (186-87kg-86, college: Cal.Baptist). He played in the summer at Globalport in Filipino PBA league. Krayem managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!).
