Prievidza to change things, Godbold to come - Dec 6, 2012

No doubts about dissatisfaction of Prievidza fans with their players, coach and management after some sloppy results, diving in table and receiving a HUGE loss in Levice.
Can they get no satisfaction? I think they can and their management is right working on it. Talking about bad performances, Prievidza just goodbyed two of their players. Point guard and Spanish el matador Mario Diez (188-PG-82) and power forward from the US Nate Gerwig (206-F/C-83, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Kent St.). These both together combined average statistics of 6.2 points 3.8 rebounds 1.7 assists but 3.2 turnovers. This was simply not enough for a champion team.
To calm down the fans who are willing to protest with silence on next derby against rival from Handlova, management announced that one of last seasons key player is coming back. Gold captain and guard David Godbold (196-G-85, college: Oklahoma). He did not play anywhere yet this season, we predict him a tough start on Saturday. 27 years old David closed last year with 15.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Rieker KN maintains the 5th position in Slovakian SBL. They would have been even better if they hadn'...   [read more]

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kosice. First ranked Kosice faced 3rd placed Prievidza. Host Kosice (24-5) defeated guests from Prievidza (20-8) 93-77. Kosice looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
