American Joseph Harris (196-F-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for Prievidza and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 25-year old forward had the game-high 20 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Prievidza in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Nitra (#4, 9-6) 75-72. Prievidza maintains the 5th position in Slovakian Extraliga. Prievidza is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. Harris turned to be Prievidza's top player in his first season with the team. Coastal Carolina College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harris is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.6ppg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 53.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-F/C-78) of Inter Bratislava. Rancik impressed basketball fans with 35 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Inter Bratislava lost that game 71-89 to the higher-ranked Komarno (#1, 12-2). Inter Bratislava managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Rancik is a newcomer at Inter Bratislava and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Australian Anthony Stewart (196-G-70) of Svit (#9). Stewart scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Stewart's great performance Svit lost 79-94 to the higher-ranked Nova Ves (#3, 9-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Svit can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Stewart he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Stewart has individually a great season in Slovakia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.1rpg (5th best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 52.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dwight Burke (202-C/F-86) of Nova Ves - 20 points and 12 rebounds
5. Justin Graham (193-G-88) of Inter Bratislava - 15 points and 4 rebounds
6. Kevin Thompson (205-F-89) of Komarno - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Noah Dahlman (199-F-89) of B.Bystrica - 17 points and 7 rebounds
8. Amin Stevens (198-F-90) of Komarno - 15 points and 10 rebounds
9. Maurice Acker (178-PG-87) of Nova Ves - 30 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Milan Ziak (190-G-88) of Prievidza - 22 points and 2 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
