The most important game in the last round took place in Bratislava between second ranked Levice (10-6) and sixth ranked Inter Bratislava (7-9) on Saturday night. Levice was defeated by Inter Bratislava on the road 68-79. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-68. Inter Bratislava made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Inter Bratislava outrebounded Levice 37-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Justin Graham (193-G-88, college: San Jose St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 26 points for the winners. American guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Levice. Levice's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Inter Bratislava maintains sixth position with 7-9 record. Levice at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face higher ranked Nitra (#3) in Nitra in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Levice will play at home against Handlova and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Handlova was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Nova Ves (11-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Handlova (4-11). Nova Ves defeated Handlova 94-84. American power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Maurice Acker chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Zack Crimmins (213-89, college: Columbia) with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Nova Ves have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nitra. Handlova lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Nova Ves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Handlova will play on the road against Levice (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Banska Bystrica was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Prievidza (7-8) played at the court of seventh ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (6-10). SKP Banska Bystrica defeated Prievidza 92-81 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prievidza. Noah Dahlman notched 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. SKP Banska Bystrica's coach Ivan Kurilla used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points by Milan Ziak did not help to save the game for Prievidza. SKP Banska Bystrica maintains seventh position with 6-10 record. Defending champion Prievidza keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. SKP Banska Bystrica will meet at home bottom-ranked Svit (#9) in the next round. Prievidza will play against the league's leader Komarno (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

In the last game of round 18 Nitra beat Svit on the road 76-71.
The most impressive performance of 18th round was 16 points and 17 rebounds by Anthony McClain of Nitra.

Handlova - Nova Ves 84-94

The game in Handlova was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Nova Ves (11-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Handlova (4-11). Nova Ves defeated Handlova 94-84. The game was mostly controlled by Nova Ves. Handlova was better in second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. Burke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American center Zack Crimmins (213-89, college: Columbia) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and international Roman Vido (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Nova Ves and five Handlova players scored in double figures. Nova Ves have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nitra. Handlova lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Nova Ves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Handlova will play on the road against Levice (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Svit - Nitra 71-76

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Nitra (11-6) beat on the road bottom-ranked Svit (3-14) 76-71 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American players dominated the game. Center Anthony McClain (213-88, college: Cincinnati) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho) supported him with 21 points. Even 18 points and 4 assists by guard Curtis Allen (193-86, college: ORU) did not help to save the game for Svit. Forward A.J. Stewart (205-88, college: Texas St.) added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Svit players scored in double figures. Svit's coach David Solomon tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nitra moved-up to second place, which they share with Nova Ves. Svit lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Nitra will meet at home Inter Bratislava (#6) in the next round. Svit will play against SKP Banska Bystrica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 35-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. SKP Banska Bystrica made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game. American forward Noah Dahlman (199-89, college: Wofford) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Branislav Koczkas (178-82) supported him with 17 points. SKP Banska Bystrica's coach Ivan Kurilla used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
