Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Slovakians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Anton Gavel (188-84, agency: Pro One Sports, currently plays in Germany). He was the major contributor in a Brose Baskets Bamberg's victory against the 13th-ranked Telekom Baskets (5-8) 92-78 in the German BBL in Saturday night's game. Gavel scored 21 points and added 4 passes in 30 minutes on the court. Brose Baskets Bamberg (12-2) is placed first in the BBL. It's Gavel's fourth season with the team. He belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #6 with 14.7ppg. Gavel also averaged so far 2.9rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 65.8%(48-73), 3FGP: 41.1% and FT: 80.4% in the 14 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Slovakian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, agency: Beo Basket, college: St.Cloud St., currently plays in Czech Republic). Rancik led CEZ Nymburk to a victory over the closely-ranked NH Ostrava (13-5) crushing them 90-58 in the Czech Republic NBL last Tuesday. He was MVP of the game. Rancik scored 20 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CEZ Basketball Nymburk (17-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far his team won all seventeen games in the Regular Season. Rancik has relatively good stats this season: 12.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 53.4%, 3FGP: 41.4% and FT: 82.6%. Former BK Inter Bratislava starter played for the Slovakian national team in 2010.

   #3. The Slovakian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Peter Sedmak (207-85, currently plays in Czech Republic). He was the main contributor in a BK Decin's victory against the closely-ranked Levharti Chomutov (7-11) crushing them 88-58 in the Czech Republic NBL on Tuesday night. Sedmak was the best player in that game. He scored 21 points in only a mere 14 minutes. BK Decin (8-8) is placed sixth in the NBL. Sedmak is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 16.4ppg. This year his other stats are: 5.1rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(80-144), 3FGP: 28.1% and FT: 75.3% in the 16 games. Sedmak played for the Slovakian national team one years ago.

Shooting guard Roman Marko (194-86, currently plays in Czech Republic) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked B&W Opava (6-11) 93-75 in the Czech Republic NBL in Thursday night's game. He scored 16 points and added 4 passes. BK Prostejov (11-7) is placed third in the NBL. It's Marko's first season with the team. Marko's overall stats this year are: 8.9ppg, 3.7rpg and 2.4apg. He has a dual citizenship: Slovakian and Czech Republic. Marko is also Slovakian national team player.

International forward Pavol Losonsky (203-88, college: Cal-Irvine, currently plays in United Kingdom), who plays in the British BBL could not help Leicester Riders (12-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Losonsky's good performance Leicester Riders was defeated 86-82 on the road by the lower-ranked Plymouth Raiders (#4). He scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Losonsky has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.8ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.8apg. Losonsky plays currently for the Slovakian national team.

   #6. Small forward Dusan Pandula (196-84, currently plays in Czech Republic) is a teammate of previously mentioned Roman Marko and both played together in the last Czech Republic NBL game. Pandula contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked B&W Opava (6-11) 93-75. He scored 15 points in a mere 16 minutes. This year Pandula has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.6apg in the 18 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Slovakian National Team roster.

U20 international forward Viktor Juricek (208-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to S.Alabama's victory against the Texas A&M - Corpus Christi 74-69 in the NCAA last Sunday. Juricek scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The University of South Alabama has 3-0 conference record this season. So far his team won all three games in the conference. Juricek has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.6apg. He is also Slovakian U20 national team player.

   #8. Power forward Justin Sedlak (205-87, college: Florida Tech, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Eco Orebro (3-15) 90-73 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Sedlak scored 10 points. Solna Vikings (11-7) is placed fifth in the Basketligan. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Sedlak's stats this season are: 13.9ppg and 5.3rpg. He used to play for the Slovakian national team back in 2010.

Former U20 international forward Richard Lesko (204-81, college: Ill.-Chicago, currently plays in Czech Republic) managed to help Turi Svitavy in a victory against the closely-ranked USK Praha (7-11) 97-81 in the Czech Republic NBL in Saturday night's game. Lesko recorded only 4 points in 19 minutes. Turi Svitavy (6-11) is placed 11th in the NBL. This year Lesko's overall stats are: 5.4ppg and 2.7rpg in the 14 games. He used to play for the Slovakian U20 national team thirteen years ago.

   #10. Swingman Martin Sykora (192-81, currently plays in Czech Republic) was not able to help Levice (8-9) in their game against BK Pardubice (10-6) in the Czech Republic NBL. Sykora cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 1 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Levice was defeated 81-74 in Pardubice by the higher-ranked BK Pardubice (#5). Sykora's total stats this season are: 5.0ppg and 3.4rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Slovakian National Team roster.

   #11. Former international center Martin Miklosik (225-86, currently plays in Czech Republic) faced previously mentioned Roman Marko in the Czech Republic NBL last game. Miklosik was not able to secure a victory for B&W Opava in their game against BK Prostejov. He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Miklosik scored only 2 points in 13 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 93-75. Miklosik is currently third on the list of best blockers with 1.4bpg. This year his other stats are: 5.5ppg and 5.1rpg in the 17 games. Worth to mention Miklosik played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Miklosik used to play for the Slovakian national team two years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Slovakian passport but never been selected to any of Slovakian national teams:

   #1. Darius Silinskis (216-C-84, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Lithuania), who plays in the Lithuanian LKL could not help Nevezis (5-5) to beat Neptunas (7-3). He scored 5 points, had 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 25 minutes. Nevezis lost 67-74 at home to the second-ranked Neptunas. It was Nevezis' first loss after five consecutive victories. Silinskis is ranked second on the list of the best blockers in the league with 2.0bpg. This year he also averages: 7.4ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg in the 10 games he played so far.

   #2. Lukas Varga (183-G-85, college: Coker, currently plays in Denmark) led Horsens IC to a victory against the closely-ranked Naestved (10-7) 79-67 in the Danish Ligaen on Saturday night. Varga scored 11 points in 31 minutes. Horsens IC (13-4) is placed third in the Ligaen. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Varga's overall stats are: 4.5ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg in the 17 games. He has a dual citizenship: German and Slovakian.

   #3. Experienced Stefan Svitek (203-F/C-77, currently plays in Luxembourg) contributed to a Basket Esch's victory against the second-ranked Etzella (9-2) 85-77 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League last Sunday. Svitek had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds in 36 minutes. Basket Esch (2-9) is placed seventh in the Diekirch League. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Svitek is currently seventh on the list of best rebounders with 9.5rpg. This year he also averages: 14.9ppg and 1.6apg in the 14 games.

   #4. Filip Kramer (200-SF-92, currently plays in Austria) managed to help ECE Bulls Kapfenberg to win against the ninth-ranked UBSC Graz (4-8) 91-76 in the Austrian A Bundesliga on Saturday night. Kramer scored only 3 points. ECE Bulls Kapfenberg (9-3) is placed third in the A Bundesliga. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Kramer's overall stats this season are: 3.8ppg and 2.5rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Slovakian and Austrian.

SBL Round 15: Leader Inter Bratislava gets another victory - 9 hours ago

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the twelfth win on Saturday night. This time they beat bottom-ranked Nova Ves (0-14) 80-64. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Stojacic number one in Slovakia for round 14 - 3 days ago

Serbian Shooting guard Strahinja Stojacic (197-SG-92) had a great game in the last round for Lucenec, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 14. The 24-year old player was the main contributor (39 points, two rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Nitra (#10, 2-11) with 18-point margin 111-93. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (11-3) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat fifth ranked Iskra Svit (7-7) 83-71. Inter Bratislava forced 20 Iskra Svit turnovers.
