Martin
Rancik
34-year old power forward Martin Rancik (204-F/C-78) had an amazing evening in the last round for Inter Bratislava and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Svit (#9, 4-16) 88-79. Inter Bratislava maintains the 6th position in Slovakian league. Inter Bratislava is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-10 record. In the team's last game Rancik had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Inter Bratislava's top player in his first season with the team. Martin Rancik averages this season 24.9ppg and 7.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was A.J. Stewart (205-F-88) of Svit. He is American forward in his first season at Svit. In the last game Stewart recorded impressive double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Svit lost that game 79-88 to the higher-ranked Inter Bratislava (#6, 9-10). Svit are still at the very bottom. 16 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Svit managed to get this year. Stewart is a newcomer at Svit and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kevin Bridgewaters (175-G-84, agency: TSS Management) of Handlova (#8). Bridgewaters got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Bridgewaters' great performance Handlova lost 84-90 to slightly higher-ranked B.Bystrica (#7, 8-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Handlova can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Bridgewaters he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Bridgewaters has a very solid season. In 3 games in Slovakia he scored 31.7ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Justin Manns (210-C-89) of Prievidza - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Stjepan Gavran (206-C-78) of B.Bystrica - 20 points and 7 rebounds
6. Clarence Jackson (193-G-89) of Inter Bratislava - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Joseph Harris (196-F-87) of Prievidza - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Maurice Acker (178-PG-87) of Nova Ves - 24 points and 12 assists
9. Kevin Thompson (205-F-89) of Komarno - 12 points and 12 rebounds
10. Noah Dahlman (199-F-89) of B.Bystrica - 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
