Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The game with biggest result difference took place in Prievidza. Local Prievidza (11-11) outscored 6th ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (10-13) 102-81 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Prievidza forced 19 SKP Banska Bystrica turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Barkley Falkner (203-86, college: Sam Houston St.) who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Willie Powers (187-89, college: Georgia South) chipped in 27 points. American guard Enique Clemons (180-80, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 assists and 6 steals for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 11-11 record. SKP Banska Bystrica at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Inter Bratislava. Prievidza are looking forward to face league's leader Komarno on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SKP Banska Bystrica will play against Svit (#9) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

In the last two games of round 26 Handlova was defeated by Nova Ves in a road game 84-78. Nitra beat Svit at home 92-81.
The best stats of 26th round was 14 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks by Anthony McClain of Nitra.

Nova Ves - Handlova 84-78

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Handlova (6-16) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Nova Ves (13-11) 84-78 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Nova Ves made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Handlova helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 27 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Burke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. International Roman Vido (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Wade Dunston (193-84, college: St.Bonaventure) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Handlova players scored in double figures. Nova Ves maintains fourth position with 13-11 record. Handlova lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 16 games lost. Nova Ves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Handlova will play at home against the league's second-placed Levice (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.

Nitra - Svit 92-81

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Nitra (15-9) defeated at home bottom-ranked Svit (5-19) 92-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-81. Nitra made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Nitra made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Bahamas guard J.R. Cadot (195-87, college: TCU) who scored 23 points and 8 assists. Forward Peter Seman (191-77) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Five Nitra players scored in double figures. American guard Ravone George (193-83, college: Alabama) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import center Tyronne McNeal (211-87, college: Miami Dade CC) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Svit's coach David Solomon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nitra maintains third position with 15-9 record having just 0 points less than leader Komarno. Svit at the other side stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. Nitra are looking forward to face Inter Bratislava (#6) on the road in the next round. Svit will play against SKP Banska Bystrica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. The most important game in the last round took place in Nova Ves between second ranked Inter Bratislava (18-6) and tenth ranked Nova Ves (4-20) on Wednesday night. 26-year old guard Andre Jones (191-G-90) had a very impressive game in the last round for Prievidza and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25. He had the game-high 25 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Prievidza in his team's victory, helping them to beat Nova Ves (#10, 3-20) 90-75. SBL Round 25: Inter Bratislava beats Iskra Svit by two after a very close game - 3 days ago
Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Fifth-ranked Iskra Svit (12-11) was very close to win a game against second ranked Inter Bratislava (18-5) on Saturday. Inter Bratislava managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected easier game. Inter Bratislava shot 66.0 percent from the field.
