Here is the weekly review of the top performing Slovakian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international point guard Darina Misurova (163-81, currently plays in Czech Republic). She was the major contributor in a Sokol Hradec Kralove's victory against the league outsider BK Pliska Studanka (2-18) crushing them 87-58 in the Czech Republic ZBL in Sunday night's game. Misurova recorded 15 points, 3 assists and 4 steals in a mere 19 minutes on the court. Sokol VCP Hradec Kralove (17-3) is placed third in the ZBL. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Misurova is ranked ninth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 15.1ppg. She also averaged so far 3.4rpg, 2.1apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 54.8%, 3FGP: 39.8% and FT: 82.9% in the 20 games she played so far. Misurova played for the Slovakian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88, currently plays in Eurocup). She led her Hungarian team MBK Ruzomberok to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Nantes Reze (5-1) crushing them 79-57 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Tetemondova scored 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. MBK Ruzomberok (2-2) is placed third in group H. This season Tetemondova averages: 9.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.8apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 36.4%, 3FGP: 41.2% and FT: 71.4%. She is in the roster of the Slovakian senior national team.

   #3. The Slovakian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Marie Ruzickova (189-86, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Italy). Ruzickova contributed to Lucca's victory against one of league's weakest teams Cagliari CUS (1-11) 75-66 in the Italian A1 on Sunday night. She scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. Gesam Gas Le Mura Lucca (9-3) is placed second in the A1. Ruzickova has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.3spg, 2FGP: 46.5% and FT: 62.5% in the 13 games. She played for the Slovakian national team five years ago.

   #4. Swingman Dominika Baburova (182-91, currently plays in Eurocup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Katarina Tetemondova and both played together in the last Eurocup game. Baburova contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Nantes Reze (5-1) crushing them 79-57. She scored 10 points. Baburova's overall stats this season are: 4.6ppg and 1.7rpg. She used to play for the Slovakian university national team back in 2011.

   #5. International center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Czech Republic could not help IMOS Brno (2-8) to beat Rivas Ecopolis (6-4). Jurcenkova scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 11 minutes. The seventh-placed IMOS Brno was badly defeated 67-50 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Rivas Ecopolis in the group A of Euroleague. It was IMOS Brno's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Jurcenkova's first season with the team. This year her overall stats are: 6.2ppg and 3.4rpg in the 10 games. Jurcenkova plays currently for the Slovakian national team.

   #6. Guard Veronika Cernakova (175-90, currently plays in Hungary) is a teammate of previously mentioned Katarina Tetemondova. But that was another game of her team in Hungarian A Division which we would like to mention. Cernakova contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked PEAC-PECS (1-2) crushing them 63-41. She recorded 7 points and had 3 steals. It was his first game for MBK Ruzomberok this season. Her team is placed third in MEL group. Cernakova has been at the team for six years. Cernakova is an international player who is currently on the senior Slovakian National Team roster.

   #7. International point guard Janka Mincikova (172-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Hungary) is a teammate of previously mentioned Katarina Tetemondova. She played also in the last Hungarian A Division game facing Veronika Cernakova (above) in the other team. Mincikova contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked PEAC-PECS (1-2) crushing them 63-41. She recorded 9 points in 24 minutes. It was his first game for MBK Ruzomberok this season. Mincikova is also Slovakian national team player.

It was his first game for MBK Ruzomberok this season. Lukacovicova plays currently for the Slovakian national team.

She scored 7 points in 21 minutes. This year Kmetova's total stats are: 6.5ppg and 3.0rpg in the eight games. She is also in the roster of the Slovakian national team.

   #10. Point guard Zuzana Brezaniova (171-87, currently plays in Hungary) is a teammate of previously mentioned Katarina Tetemondova. She played also in the last Hungarian A Division game facing Klaudia Lukacovicova (above) in the other team. Brezaniova managed to help MBK Ruzomberok to win against the seventh-ranked PEAC-PECS (1-2) crushing them 63-41. She recorded 5 points. It was his first game for MBK Ruzomberok this season. Brezaniova is a former international player as two years ago she still played for the Slovakian senior national team.

   #11. U20 international center Zofia Hruscakova (190-95, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a Good Angels' victory against the closely-ranked Familia Schio 78-67 in the Euroleague last Thursday. She scored only 2 points in 4 minutes on the court. This year Hruscakova averages just 1.6ppg in the five games. She plays currently for the Slovakian U20 national team.

   #12. Former international forward Erin Marie Lawless (185-85, also represented by LBM Management, college: Purdue, currently plays in Eurocup) helped her Russian team Dynamo Kursk win their n overtime game against the leader Kayseri 77-64 in the Eurocup in Thursday night's game. She scored only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court. Lawless has averaged so far 5.3ppg and 2.0rpg in the three games. She is a naturalized American. Lawless used to play for the Slovakian national team back in 2011. She played also for BK 99 PU Presov in Slovakian league.

   #13. Former international point guard Dagmar Chlebovcova (172-84, currently plays in Czech Republic) helped VSE Praha win their game against one of league's weakest teams DSK Karlin crushing them 82-58 in the Czech Republic ZBL last Saturday. Chlebovcova scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Chlebovcova has averaged so far 5.1ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.2apg. She used to play for the Slovakian national team two years ago.

   #14. Former international forward Barbora Fabianova (182-82, another player represented by LBM Management, college: Youngstown St., currently plays in Italy) faced previously mentioned Marie Ruzickova in the Italian A1 last game. Fabianova was not able to help Cagliari CUS in their game against Lucca. She scored 6 points in 27 minutes. Her team lost 66-75. Fabianova has averaged so far 4.8ppg and 1.5rpg in the 13 games. She used to play for the Slovakian national team back in 2008.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Slovakian passport:

   #1. Experienced Zuzana Mracnova (180-F-80, currently plays in Czech Republic), who plays in the Czech Republic ZBL could not help Aldast Strakonice (5-15) to beat Valosun Brno (10-9). Mracnova scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. But Aldast Strakonice was defeated 68-62 on the road by the higher-ranked Valosun Brno (#6). It was Aldast Strakonice's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Mracnova has relatively solid stats: 10.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.4apg.

Samorin - BAM Poprad 75-45 Samorin cruised past BAM Poprad to seal their semifinal appearance. Samorin forced 24 BAM Poprad turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Samorin made 7 blocks.
