Kayseri have one foot in the EuroCup Final after they stunned MBK Ruzomberok on the road tonight. The Turkish team will carry a massive 19-point lead into the home game of the return leg of the semifinal series. LaToya Sanders (191-PF-86, college: N.Carolina) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds to pace Kayseri to the road win.
The Turkish team started the game strong. They accumulated a 21:17 lead after ten minutes. Kayseri stretched the lead in the second quarter. The visitors accounted for a 39:32 halftime advantage. The gap kept on growing throughout the third term. Kayseri ensured a comfortable 16-point advantage before the fourth quarter 59:43. MBK Ruzomberok could not recover in the final period as Kayseri raced to a comprehensive victory. Zoi Dimitrakou (188-F-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) provided 14 points, while Evanthia Maltsi (180-F-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas) and Nicky Anosike (190-F/C-86, college: Tennessee) added 13 points each for the winning side. Katarina Tetemondova (188-F-88) answered with 14 points for MBK Ruzomberok. Nadia Parker (191-C-87, college: USC) had 11 points in defeat.

MBK Ruzomberok (Extraliga) re-signed 23-year old Canadian forward Taijah Campbell (190-94, college: Virginia Tech). She played there last season. In 25 Extraliga games she averaged 9.2ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.0spg. Campbell helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very good season in her career as she was selected to Eurobasket.com Slovakian Extraliga All-Imports Team and Honorable Mention. When you take into account the size-quality ratio, Slovakia is a highly successful women's basketball country. From 1993 until 2003 Slovakia women's national team achieved six straight 'Top 8 finishes at the EuroBasket Women. Slovakia won the bronze medal at the EuroBasket Women 1993 in Perugia, Italy and went all the way to the silver medal four years later in Budapest, Hungary. Piestanske Cajky (Extraliga) added to their roster 25-year old Czech power forward Barbora Kasparkova (185-92). She has played for the last eight seasons at Handicap Brno in ZBL league in Czech Republic. In 22 games she recorded 6.5ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.5spg last season. Kasparkova's team won Czech Republic Cup in 2013 and 2017.
