Anton Gavel
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Anton Gavel (188-84, agency: Pro One Sports, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Germany. He could not help the league outsider Brose Baskets Bamberg (0-7) in their last game. Despite Gavel's very good performance the eighth-placed Brose Baskets Bamberg was edged in an overtime 88-87 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Zalgiris in the group E of Euroleague. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Gavel also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 37 minutes on the court. So far Brose Baskets Bamberg lost all seven games in the Top 16. It's Gavel's fourth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 13.1ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.8apg, 2FGP: 52.7%, 3FGP: 39.7% and FT: 83.3% in the 16 games he played so far.
