There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Extraliga. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The game between second ranked Komarno (20-9) and seventh ranked Prievidza (12-17) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Komarno was defeated by Prievidza in a tough game in Prievidza 81-90. Defending champion maintains seventh place with 12-17 record. Komarno at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Prievidza are looking forward to face higher ranked Nova Ves (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Komarno will play against the league's leader Levice where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Nitra. Third ranked host Nitra (19-11) defeated 4th placed Inter Bratislava (15-15) 97-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Inter Bratislava. American swingman David Noel (199-84, college: N.Carolina) nailed 27 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Deremy Geiger accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for Inter Bratislava in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nitra maintains third place with 19-11 record having just two points less than leader Levice. Inter Bratislava at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 15 games lost. Nitra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Inter Bratislava will play on the road against Svit (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Extraliga top team - Levice (22-7) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Handlova (7-22) 85-73. At the other side the best for losing team was Kevin Bridgewaters who recorded 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!).
