The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Kosice (22-5) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Lucenec (12-15) 113-102. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kosice. Lucenec made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jervon Pressley (203-95, college: Hampton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Serbian Strahinja Stojacic (197-92) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Stefan Matovic (203-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists for Kosice. Newly promoted Lucenec maintains eighth place with 12-15 record. Kosice at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Lucenec are looking forward to face higher ranked Handlova (#6) in MBK Handlova in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kosice will play on the road against Levice (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Inter Bratislava (21-7) which hosted in Bratislava 4th placed Levice (19-9). Second ranked Inter Bratislava managed to get a 10-point victory 83-73. It was a great evening for the former international Tomas Mrvis (200-91, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Aleksandar Radukic helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Jarvis Summers (190-93, college: Mississippi) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Inter Bratislava maintains second place with 21-7 record behind leader Kosice. Levice at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against Prievidza (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Levice will play against the league's leader Kosice and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Rieker KN (14-13) and Nova Ves (5-24), which took place in Nova Ves. Higher ranked Rieker KN lost to tenth ranked Nova Ves in a road game 93-101 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rieker KN. It was an exceptional evening for Viktor Juricek who led the winners and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Filip Halada came up with 31 points for Rieker KN in the defeat. Rieker KN's coach Richard Duris rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nova Ves maintains tenth place with 5-24 record. Loser Rieker KN keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Nova Ves will meet bottom-ranked Nitra (#11) in the next round. Rieker KN will play against Karlovka (#9) in Bratislava and hope to secure a win.

Karlovka will play against Rieker KN (#5) and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 31 bottom-ranked Nitra was smashed by Iskra Svit on the road 89-66.

Iskra Svit - Nitra 89-66

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Iskra Svit (14-15) crushed at home bottom-ranked Nitra (2-25) 89-66. Iskra Svit forced 21 Nitra turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Israeli center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) fired 24 points for the winners. American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) chipped in 18 points and 8 assists. Croatian forward Eddi Jurjevic (202-93) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and French guard Jonathan Dogbo (193, college: Gannon) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iskra Svit maintains seventh place with 14-15 record. Nitra lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Iskra Svit will have a break next round. Nitra will play at home against Nova Ves (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
