Omar Krayem (ex Globalport) signs at Prievidza - Feb 23, 2017

Omar Krayem
Defending champion BC Prievidza (SBL) landed 31-year old American (has also Swedish passport) point guard Omar Krayem (186-87kg-86, college: Cal.Baptist). He played in the summer at Globalport in Filipino PBA league. Krayem managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). First he played at Boras Basket in Swedish Basketligan where in 27 games he averaged impressive 16.0ppg, 4.4rpg, 6.2apg and 1.6spg. Krayem helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Basketligan 2nd Team and All-Domestic Players Team. Krayem also played 10 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had very remarkable stats: 20.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 6.6apg and 1.7spg.
Among other achievements Krayem received Eurobasket.com All-Swedish BasketEttan Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Swedish BasketEttan Import Player of the Year award back in 2011 and 2014.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Krayem experienced life in five different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Krayem has played previously professionally in Finland (Tapiolan Honka), Hungary (Kormend and Zalakeramia-ZTE KK), Mexico (Mineros de Caborca), Sweden (Umea and White Eagles) and Palestine (Sarriyet).
He attended California Baptist University until 2009 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Krayem's outlook: Exciting point guard with terrific leadership skills. Possesses speed and quickness. Omar can run a team and knocks down shots with consistency. Very good in pick n' roll and the open floor.

BK Iskra Svit (SBL) inked 29-year old Serbian power forward Vladimir Ivelja (204-88, agency: AproK Sports Group) from KB Kosice. In 45 SBL games in Slovakia he recorded 9.2ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.4apg last season. He helped them to win the cup and make to league semifinals. Djordje Ninkovic (ex Leotar) is a newcomer at Nova Ves - 2 days ago
BK 04 AC LB Spisska Nova Ves (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old Bosnian center Djordje Ninkovic (210-93). He has played for the last seven seasons at Leotar in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I, but left the team in Mar.'17. In 18 games he recorded 9.7ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.2apg last season.
