Grosuplje wins D2 title and promotion to Telemach league - Apr 18, 2012
The 2011/12 season in D2 is over. Grosuplje won the title with 21-5 record. At the same time Grosuplje won the promotion to Telemach league. Litija and Nova Gorica are relegated to D2.
Hrastnik - Grosuplje 67-74 The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hrastnik won third quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grosuplje forced 22 Hrastnik turnovers. Power forward Blaz Lobe (202-F/C-84) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Marko Antonijevic (189-81, agency: Court Side) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Power forward Bostjan Sivka (200-76) notched 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and guard Tomaz Jereb (192-91) supported him with 18 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by power forward Igor Spesic (204-83) did not help to save the game for Radenska.
