Houston Rockets guard Goran Dragic (194-PG-86) was named today by the NBA as Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, Apr. 2 through Sunday, Apr. 8. It marks the first time in Dragics career to earn Conference Player of the Week accolades.
Dragic averaged 20.7 points (22-46 FG, 14-17 FT), 8.3 assists and 2.67 steals in leading the Rockets to a 3-0 week. He began the week by topping the Rockets with 21 points (8-12 FG) and a career-high-tying four thefts in a 99-93 win at Chicago (4/2/12), which ended an 86-game run where the Bulls did not lose two games in a row in the regular season. The last time the Bulls lost consecutive regular season games was Feb. 5-7, 2011. Dragic then finished with his best point total as a member of the Rockets by netting a team-high 26 points (8-19 FG, 3-7 3FG, 7-8 FT) to go with 11 assists and three steals in a 112-107 victory at the L.A. Lakers (4/6/12). He also marked the first time in his career to record four 20-point games in a row (3/30/12-4/6/12). The win helped the Rockets become the only visiting team to win at Chicago, at the L.A. Lakers and atOklahoma City this season. He completed the week with 15 points (6-15 FG) and a game-high nine dimes in a 104-87 win atSacramento (4/8/12).
Union Olimpija beat Krka 73-68 in Game 3 to avoid a sweep in the finals. Jaka Blazic (196-G-90) scored 14 of his game-high 17 points in the first half, Drazen Bubnic (206-F-86) and Jasmin Perkovic (205-F-80) both poured in 11 points and Klemen Prepelic (191-G-92) came off the bench for 8 assists.

Olimpija was outrebouned 26-36 and missed 15 free throws, but they shot 56-percent from the field (27-of-48) to Krka's just 42 percent (24-of-57). Krka was led by Jakov Vladovic (187-PG-83, agency: XL Basketball Agency) with his 13 points, Matjaz Smodis (205-F-79) added 11, Domen Lorbek (198-G/F-85) posted 10 points and Jaka Klobucar (198-G-87) had 8 points and 9 rebounds.
