Here is the weekly review of the top performing Slovenian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St.). He was the major contributor in a Regal FC Barcelona's victory against the closely-ranked Caja Laboral (21-10) 97-89 in the Spanish ACB in Thursday night's game. Lorbek recorded 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Regal FC Barcelona (26-5) is placed first in the ACB. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Lorbek has relatively good stats this year: 11.9ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 47.9%, 3FGP: 33.1% and FT: 83.0% in the 31 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Slovenian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Goran Dragic (194-86). Dragic led Houston Rockets to a 3-point victory against the Golden State Warriors (23-43) 99-96 in the NBA last Saturday. He recorded 18 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. The Houston Rockets have 34-32 record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. Dragic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 11.7ppg, 2.5rpg, 5.3apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 52.4%, 3FGP: 33.8% and FT: 80.5%. Dragic is in the roster of the Slovenian senior national team.

   #3. The Slovenian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international guard Jaka Lakovic (186-78). He led Galatasaray to a double overtime (!!!) victory against the 11th-ranked Erdemir (12-18) 85-81 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Lakovic scored 16 points in 34 minutes. Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul (24-5) is placed first in the TBL. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This year Lakovic has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 1.8rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 43.9%, 3FGP: 47.0%(63-134) and FT: 90.7%(78-86) in the 28 games. He is also a member of the Slovenian senior national team.

Beno Udrih
Beno Udrih
   #4. Point guard Beno Udrih (194-82), who plays in the NBA could not help the Milwaukee Bucks (31-35) to beat the Philadelphia 76ers (35-31). Udrih scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 9 assists. But the Milwaukee Bucks were defeated 90-85 on the road by the 76ers. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. Udrih's overall stats this season are: 5.9ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.8apg. He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2010.

   #5. International power forward Miha Zupan (205-82) led Spartak St.Petersburg to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Krasnie Krilya (7-11) 73-71 in the Russian PBL last Saturday. Zupan was MVP of the game. He recorded 16 points in 21 minutes. Spartak St.Petersburg (9-9) is placed fifth in the PBL. This year Zupan's overall stats are: 6.1ppg and 2.2rpg in the 19 games. He plays currently for the Slovenian national team.

   #6. Center Mirza Begic (217-85) contributed to a 3-point Real Madrid's victory against the tenth-ranked Assignia Manresa (14-17) 96-93 in the Spanish ACB on Thursday night. Begic recorded 10 points. Real Madrid (24-7) is placed second in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Begic is currently fourth on the list of best blockers. His total stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.6bpg. Despite Begic played previously for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, he is also an international player who is currently on the senior Slovenian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international forward Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) was not able to help Fenerbahce Ulker (20-9) in their game against Anadolu Efes (23-6) in the Turkish TBL. Preldzic scored 9 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 33 minutes. But Fenerbahce Ulker was edged 69-67 in a derby game by the higher-ranked (#3) Anadolu Efes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. It's Preldzic's fifth season with the team. Preldzic has reliable stats this year: 10.3ppg, 4.6rpg and 4.0apg in the 26 games. Despite he played previously for the Turkish national team, Preldzic is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #8. Guard Saso Ozbolt (188-81, agency: World Sport Agency) led KK Zagreb CO to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Svjetlost (2-9) 87-71 in the Croatian A1 last Tuesday. He scored 15 points, made 3 passes and 4 steals. KK Zagreb Croatia Osiguranje (6-4) is placed fourth in Championship Group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. Ozbolt's total stats this season are: 6.9ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.5spg. Despite he played previously for the Turkish national team, Ozbolt is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #9. Former international forward Dragisa Drobnjak (200-77, also represented by Beo Basket) led Base Oostende to a victory over the league outsider VOO Verviers-Pepinster (5-23) 89-72 in the Belgian D1 on Saturday night. He was the best player in that game. Drobnjak scored 14 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 32 minutes. Telenet Oostende (19-10) is placed third in the D1. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. It's Drobnjak's first season with the team. This year his total stats are: 8.0ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.2apg in the 24 games. Despite Drobnjak played previously for the Turkish national team, he is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #10. Point guard Vlado Ilievski (189-80, another player represented by Beo Basket) was not able to secure a victory for Lokomotiv (9-9) in their game against CSKA Moscow (17-1) in the Russian PBL. Ilievski recorded 9 points and added 5 assists. But Lokomotiv was defeated 94-87 in Moscow by the leading CSKA. It was Lokomotiv's third consecutive loss in a row. Ilievski has averaged so far 6.4ppg, 1.1rpg and 2.4apg. Despite he played previously for the FYR Macedonian national team, Ilievski is also a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Slovenian senior national team.

   #11. Former international power forward Gasper Vidmar (211-87) is a teammate of previously mentioned Emir Preldzic and both played together in the last Turkish TBL game. Vidmar couldn't help Fenerbahce Ulker in their game against Anadolu Efes. He was the second best scorer with 9 points in 15 minutes. His team was edged 69-67. Vidmar has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 2.5rpg in the 24 games. Despite he played previously for the FYR Macedonian national team, Vidmar is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #12. Former international guard Sasha Vujacic (200-84) faced previously mentioned Emir Preldzic in the Turkish TBL last game. Vujacic contributed to a 2-point Anadolu Efes' victory against the closely-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker 69-67 in a derby game. He scored 7 points. Vujacic averaged so far 12.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg. Despite he played previously for the FYR Macedonian national team, Vujacic is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #13. Former international power forward Goran Jurak (203-77), who plays in the Italian SerieA couldn't help Angelico Biella (12-17) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Angelico Biella lost 97-104 in Sassari to the much higher-ranked (#5) Banco di Sardegna. Jurak recorded 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 26 minutes. Jurak has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.2spg in the 29 games. Despite he played previously for the FYR Macedonian national team, Jurak is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #14. Former international forward Jurica Golemac (209-77, another player represented by Beo Basket), who plays in the Italian SerieA couldn't help Air Avellino (13-17) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Air Avellino was defeated 90-77 in Milano by the much higher-ranked Armani (#3). Golemac scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Golemac averaged so far 11.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.4apg and 1.5spg. Despite he played previously for the Croatian national team, Golemac is currently in the Slovenian national team roster.

   #15. Former U21 international point guard Matej Venta (187-84) contributed to an easy victory against the leader NH Ostrava 90-71 in the Czech Republic NBL on Friday night. He scored 9 points, had 4 boards, passed 3 assists and added 4 steals in 22 minutes. Venta has averaged so far 7.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.1apg in the 34 games. Despite he played previously for the Croatian national team, Venta is currently in the Slovenian U21 national team roster.

Both semifinal series are tied 1-1 with the decisive Game 3 Thursday. Union Olimpija defeated Zlatorog 90-88 and Helios Suns beat Krka 73-68.
