U16 BULGARIA - U16 SLOVENIA 56-52

Bulgaria did a great job against Slovenia on Tuesday celebrating 56-52 victory. Now Bulgarians have 2-2 record in Qualifying Group F in Tallinn and have a nice chance to reach the Quarterfinals. They will have to beat last ranked Belarus today. Slovenia already advanced to the next stage, despite this loss. They have 3-1 record now and will meet Poland today in the battle for the first place in this pool. Bulgaria was up 50-35 after 30 minutes of play and Slovenia shined in the finish coming to minus 3, but it was all from them in this meeting. Quarters: 14-17, 15-8, 21-10, 6-17. Borislava Hristova (180-F-96) paced the winning squad with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Teodora Dineva (175-G-96) scored 14 points and Maria Kamburova (182-F-96) added 8 points, plus 13 rebs. Slovenia got 13 pts and 9 rebs from Manca Jelenc (172-PG-96). Zala Lesek (187-F-97) (10 rebs) and Marusa Senicar (181-SF-97) (8 rebs) netted 7 points each.

Maribor-Konjice 62-64: Konjice opened the game with a 16-2 run and Maribor answered with 14 straigh points to tie it at 16. The largest lead of either team in the rest of the game was four points, the last time coming at 64-60 for Konjice with 2:13 remaining. American Shante Evans (184-F/C-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Athlete Celje and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
