19-year old guard Miha Lapornik (192-G-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Zlatorog and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 26 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Zlatorog in his team's victory, helping them to beat LTHcast Mercator (#8, 2-4) 85-80. Zlatorog maintains the 2nd position in Slovenian league. They are still close to the very top. Zlatorog would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Lapornik had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Zlatorog and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Lapornik has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.8ppg) and averages solid 63.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mladen Primorac (210-C-90) of Tajfun. He is Croatian center in his 2nd season at Tajfun. In the last game Primorac recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Tajfun cruised to a 90-82 relatively comfortable win over Polzela (#13, 0-6). This victory allowed Tajfun to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Primorac is well-known at Tajfun and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to another Tajfun's star - center Emir Zimic (215-C-86). Zimic scored 19 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was another key player of Tajfun, helping his team with a 90-82 win against Polzela (#13, 0-6). Tajfun needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Zimic has a very solid season. In 6 games in Slovenia he scored 6.0ppg. He also has 5.2rpg and 1.5bpg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aljaz Korosec (190-PG-92) of Polzela - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Boban Tomic (190-G-88) of LTHcast Mercator - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Nemanja Miljkovic (205-F-90) of Grosuplje - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Marko Vranjkovic (204-F/C-90) of Polzela - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Igor Maric (196-F-85) of Maribor Messer - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Tadej Kostomaj (186-G-87) of Rogaska - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Ante Djugum (211-C-88) of Zlatorog - 12 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
