Miha Markic (200-F-88, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) had a very impressive game in the last round for Koper and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 2SKL Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 24 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Terme Olimia (#2, 7-3) 95-88. Koper maintains the 8th position in Slovenian 2SKL. Koper is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. It's Markic's second year at Koper and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Markic has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.8ppg and leads league in rebounds with 10.4rpg. Markic is in league's top in and averages solid 2.9spg and 60.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old power forward Igor Spesic (204-F/C-83) of second-ranked Terme Olimia. Spesic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Terme Olimia lost that game 88-95 to the lower-ranked Koper (#8, 5-5). Terme Olimia managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Spesic is a newcomer at Terme Olimia and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#2). He also registered 8.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Milan Klepo (211-C-80) of Lastovka (#9). Klepo scored 21 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Klepo's great performance Lastovka lost 77-88 to the higher-ranked Triglav Strazisce (#5, 6-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Lastovka ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Klepo could help Lastovka to bring them higher in the standings. Klepo has a great season in Slovenia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 7.8rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anze Zdolsek (177-G-92) of Hrastnik - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Emanuel Richter (192-G-86) of Koper - 35 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Ardijan Krasnici (90) of Hrastnik - 16 points and 5 rebounds
7. Dalibor Cevriz (196-F-87) of Triglav Strazisce - 19 points and 6 rebounds
8. Boban Vukovic (183-G-88) of Koper - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Jaka Doljak (194-F-93) of Parklji - 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Savo Milovic (194-G-86) of Postojna - 13 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
