24-year old guard Boban Tomic (190-G-88, agency: Alti Sport) had a great game in the last round for LTHcast Mercator and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 26 points adding four rebounds and eight assists for LTHcast Mercator in his team's victory, helping them to beat Grosuplje (#9, 2-7) 85-71. LTHcast Mercator maintains the 6th position in Slovenian league. LTHcast Mercator is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. Tomic turned to be LTHcast Mercator's top player in his first season with the team. Tomic has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.4ppg and is league's best passer with 6.0apg. Tomic is in league's top in and averages solid 58.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was David Collins (213-C-85) of Elektra. He is Canadian center in his first season at Elektra. In the last game Collins recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Elektra cruised to a 77-66 relatively comfortable win over Polzela (#13, 0-9). Elektra's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Collins is a newcomer at Elektra and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Esmir Rizvic (213-C-82) of league's leader Maribor Messer. Rizvic scored 19 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Maribor Messer, leading his team to a 72-69 win against the lower-ranked Geoplin Slovan (#8, 3-6). Maribor Messer confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Rizvic has a great season in Slovenia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.3ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 7.4rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nikola Gacesa (205-F-87) of Helios - 24 points and 6 rebounds
5. Blaz Lobe (202-F/C-84) of Grosuplje - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Mladen Primorac (210-C-90) of Tajfun - 17 points and 5 rebounds
7. Uros Zadnik (187-PG-90) of Zlatorog - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Isiah Martin (203-F/C-89) of Polzela - 21 points and 7 rebounds
9. Nemanja Barac (90) of Rogaska - 19 points and 5 rebounds
10. Emir Zimic (215-C-86) of Tajfun - 11 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
