   #1. This week's number one is former international shooting guard Sasha Vujacic (201-84, currently plays in Turkey). He led Anadolu Efes to a victory over the closely-ranked Mersin (5-5) crushing them 104-71 in the Turkish TBL in Monday night's game. Vujacic was MVP of the game. He recorded 33 points (!!!), 4 assists and 4 steals in 25 minutes on the court. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (9-2) is placed fourth in the TBL. Vujacic belongs to league's most steals and is ranked #4 with 1.7spg. He also averaged so far 12.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 54.5%, 3FGP: 44.8% and FT: 82.8% in the 10 games he played so far. Vujacic played for the Slovenian senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Goran Dragic (190-86, currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Phoenix Suns' victory against the Charlotte Bobcats (7-19) 121-104 in the NBA last Wednesday. Dragic recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and making 11 passes. The Phoenix Suns have 11-15 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Dragic's first year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Dragic averages: 15.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.6apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 51.9%, 3FGP: 36.2% and FT: 74.5%. He played for the Slovenian national team in 2011.

   #3. The Slovenian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international small forward Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey). Preldzic contributed to a Fenerbahce Ulker's victory against the closely-ranked Galatasaray (9-1) 74-67 in a derby game in the Turkish TBL on Wednesday night. He scored 16 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul (11-1) is placed first in the TBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Preldzic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in Fenerbahce Ulker's roster. This season Preldzic's overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.9apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(30-54), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 66.7% in the 12 games. He has a dual citizenship: Slovenian and Turkish. Former Triglav Kranj starter played for the Slovenian national team four years ago.

Power forward Bostjan Nachbar (207-80, currently plays in Germany) was the main contributor in a Brose Baskets Bamberg's victory against the 13th-ranked Telekom Baskets (5-8) 92-78 in the German BBL in Saturday night's game. Nachbar was the best player in that game. He scored 25 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Brose Baskets Bamberg (12-2) is placed first in the BBL. It's Nachbar's first season with the team. Nachbar has relatively good stats this year: 14.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.0apg. He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2010.

   #5. International center Mirza Begic (217-85, currently plays in Spain) helped Real Madrid win their game against the closely-ranked Valencia Basket (9-4) 87-84 in the Spanish ACB last Thursday. Begic recorded 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in only 13 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Real Madrid (13-0) is placed first in the ACB. So far his team won all thirteen games in the Regular Season. Begic is currently fourth on the league's list of best blockers with 1.2bpg. This year he also averages: 6.0ppg and 3.2rpg in the 13 games. Begic is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian. He used to play for the Slovenian national team last year.

   #6. Power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St., currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB could not help Regal FC Barcelona (7-6) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Lorbek's good performance Regal FC Barcelona was defeated 62-54 on the road by the lower-ranked Blusens Monbus (#10). He was the second best scorer with 13 points. Lorbek also added 5 rebounds. Lorbek has been at the team for four years. His total stats this season are: 9.9ppg and 3.0rpg. Lorbek is international player as he played for the Slovenian senior team one years ago.

   #7. Former international power forward Gasper Vidmar (211-87, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL was not able to help Besiktas (6-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Besiktas lost 67-74 in a derby game to the higher-ranked (#4) Anadolu Efes. Vidmar was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 24 minutes. Vidmar is currently fifth on the league's list of best blockers with 0.9bpg. He also averaged so far 8.1ppg and 6.4rpg in the 11 games. Vidmar used to play for the Slovenian national team two years ago.

   #8. Forward Marko Milic (201-77, currently plays in Iran) helped Mahram win their game against one of league's weakest teams Naft Sepahan (1-8) crushing them 92-65 in a derby game in the Iranian Superleague last Monday. He was the top player that evening. Milic recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. It was his first game for Mahram this season. His team is placed third in the Superleague. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Milic is ranked fifth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2006.

International swingman Zoran Dragic (196-89, currently plays in Spain) helped Unicaja Malaga win their game against the 14th-ranked CB Canarias (4-9) crushing them 88-67 in the Spanish ACB last Wednesday. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 16 minutes. Unicaja Malaga (7-6) is placed ninth in the ACB. This year Dragic's total stats are: 7.0ppg and 3.0rpg in the 13 games. He used to play for the Slovenian national team last year.

   #10. Power forward Uros Slokar (210-83, currently plays in Spain) helped G.Canaria 2014 win their game against the closely-ranked Regal FC Barcelona (7-6) 81-69 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Slokar scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Herbalife Gran Canaria 2014 (9-4) is placed fifth in the ACB. Slokar has averaged so far 5.9ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.3apg. He is international player as one years ago he still played for the Slovenian senior national team.

   #11. Former international point guard Aleksandar Capin (186-82, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Adriatic League) was not able to secure a victory for Radnicki KG in their game against Zvezda in the Adriatic League, despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game. Capin was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 4 steals in 35 minutes. But his team lost 73-87. Capin is currently second on the league's list of best passers with 4.3apg. He also averaged so far 12.9ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.5spg in the 11 games. Capin used to play for the Slovenian national team four years ago.

   #12. International power forward Miha Zupan (205-82, currently plays in Turkey) couldn't help Turk Telekom in their game against Banvit BK in the Turkish TBL. Despite his very good performance last Wednesday He was the top scorer with 18 points. Zupan also added 5 rebounds. This season he has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.5apg. Zupan used to play for the Slovenian national team last year.

   #13. Former international small forward Nebojsa Joksimovic (193-81, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped his Bosnia and Herzegovina team Igokea win their game against one of league's weakest teams HKK Siroki WWin 89-73 in the Adriatic League in Thursday night's game. Joksimovic scored 10 points. Joksimovic has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Slovenian national team three years ago.

   #14. Former international power forward Primoz Brezec (216-79, currently plays in VTB United League) couldn't help BC Nizhny Novgorod in their game against Zalgiris in the VTB United League, despite his good performance last Monday. Brezec was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. But his team was badly defeated by 18 points 76-58. Brezec has reliable stats this year: 11.7ppg and 5.4rpg in the nine games. He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2010.

   #15. Former U20 international center Salih Nuhanovic (208-82, currently plays in Czech Republic) helped Levice win their game against the closely-ranked Levharti Chomutov 96-85 in the Czech Republic NBL on Thursday night. Nuhanovic scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Nuhanovic is ranked second on the list of the best blockers in the league. He has very reliable stats this season: 11.9ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.5bpg. Nuhanovic used to play for the Slovenian U20 national team ten years ago.

   #1. Rasid Mahalbasic (211-C-90, currently plays in Poland) led Asseco Prokom Gdynia to a victory against the league leader PGE Turow (9-3) 86-80 in the Polish TBL on Wednesday night. Mahalbasic recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Asseco Prokom Gdynia (9-4) is placed third in the TBL. This year Mahalbasic's total stats are: 8.6ppg and 4.4rpg in the 13 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian.

   #2. Jure Balazic (204-F-80, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to Erdemir's victory against the 14th-ranked Turk Telekom (3-9) 103-94 in the Turkish TBL in Saturday night's game. Balazic recorded 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Erdemirspor Eregli (4-7) is placed ninth in the TBL. This season Balazic has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg and 5.3rpg.

   #3. Vlado Ilievski (190-PG-80, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Croatia could not help Cedevita to beat Caja Laboral. He recorded 5 points in 20 minutes. The sixth-placed Cedevita was crushed 97-70 on the road by the higher-ranked (#4) Caja Laboral in the group _ of Euroleague. Ilievski has averaged so far 6.7ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.2apg in the 10 games. He is another player who holds two passports: FYR Macedonian and Slovenian.

   #4. Marko Milicevic (204-F-82, currently plays in Greece) was the major contributor in an Ikaroi Serron's victory against the 11th-ranked Irakleio (3-7) 82-67 in the Greek A2 (second division) last Saturday. He recorded 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. AOK Ikaroi Serron (7-3) is placed fourth in the A2. Milicevic has averaged so far 8.9ppg and 3.9rpg. He has both Serbian and Slovenian nationalities.

   #5. Uros Benacek (206-C-92, currently plays in Czech Republic) contributed to a BC Kolin's victory against the closely-ranked NH Ostrava (13-5) 87-81 in the Czech Republic NBL on Saturday night. Benacek recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Kolin (11-7) is placed fourth in the NBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Benacek has averaged so far 3.6ppg and 2.1rpg.

   #6. Nejc Strnad (190-PG-83, currently plays in Greece) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Ikaros in their game against AGOR in the Greek A1. He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Strnad recorded only 2 points and had 3 steals in 14 minutes. His team lost 61-66. This year Strnad averages just 2.7ppg in the nine games.

   #7. Damir Zeleznik (185-G-80, currently plays in Austria) helped Xion Dukes win their game against the eighth-ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart 91-80 in the Austrian A Bundesliga last Monday. He scored 8 points and added 4 passes in 27 minutes. Zeleznik has averaged so far 6.4ppg, 2.1rpg and 3.0apg in the 11 games. He also holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian.

   #8. Rene Zvan (182-PG-87, currently plays in Slovakia) helped Nitra win their game against the league outsider Svit 76-71 in the Slovakian Extraliga on Saturday night. Zvan scored 8 points and added 4 passes. Zvan has averaged so far 3.8ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.9apg.

   #9. Mladen Loncarevic (209-C/F-91, college: Weatherford JC, currently plays in Bosnia) was not able to secure a victory for KK Radnik Bijeljina in their game against Kakanj in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Loncarevic scored only 3 points in 8 minutes on the court. His team lost 85-93. Loncarevic has averaged so far 5.6ppg and 2.4rpg in the eight games. He has Slovenian and Bosnia and Herzegovina nationalities.

Cibona - Union Olimpija 109:108 (OT) Cibona claimed a narrow overtime victory over Union Olimpija. Zeljko Sakic (204-F-88, agency: BeoBasket) nailed 32 points to lead the winning side. Marko Lukovic (207-SF-92, agency: BeoBasket) produced 16 points to lead the winners. Krka eked out a 23:21 lead after ten minutes. The Slovenian team built a 53:33 halftime lead. Lastovka lands Rade Lisica - 2 days ago

Lastovka added size to their roster by singning Serbian with Slovenian citizenship Rade Lisica for the upcoming season. Lisica arrived from Zlatorog Lasko, where he spent last four seasons. In the latest one, Lisica averaged 3.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.2 steals in just five Slovenian League games and 1.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks in four Alpe-Adria Cup games.
