18-year old forward Alina Gjerkes (178-F-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Grosuplje and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
She had the game-high 25 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Grosuplje in her team's victory, helping them to outclass GVT Konjice (#9, 1-9) with 37-point margin 66-29. Grosuplje is placed at 2nd position in Slovenian SKL. They are still close to the very top. Grosuplje would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Gjerkes had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Grosuplje, through which he has constantly improved. Gjerkes has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 18.4ppg), assists (4th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 51.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Pia Prasnikar (178-PF-97) of Odeja KED. She is a forward in her first season at Odeja KED. In the last game Prasnikar recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Odeja KED lost that game 70-81 to slightly higher-ranked AJM Maribor (#6, 3-7). This loss caused Odeja KED to drop to 8th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Odeja KED managed to get this year. Prasnikar is a newcomer at Odeja KED and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Maja Drozg (179-F/C-81) of AJM Maribor (#6). Drozg scored 12 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of AJM Maribor, leading her team to a 81-70 win against slightly lower-ranked Odeja KED (#8, 2-8). The chances of AJM Maribor not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Drozg could try to bring AJM Maribor's a little bit higher in the standings. Drozg has a very solid season. In 3 games in Slovenia she scored 12.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Irma Cilovic (177-G-87) of Jezica - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Tjasa Unverdorben (177-G-93) of AJM Maribor - 20 points and 4 rebounds
6. Eva Lisec (190-C-95) of Athlete Celje - 8 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Masa Pirsic (184-F-86) of Triglav - 7 points and 10 rebounds
8. Dzenita Novi (180-G-93) of AJM Maribor - 16 points and 5 rebounds
9. Sara Vujacic (96) of AJM Maribor - 12 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Teja Kropivsek (175-G-89) of Ilrija - 11 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
