Stefan Kosec
Stefan Kosec (200-F/C-83) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Sencur CP and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 2SKL Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 29-year old power forward had the game-high 25 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Sencur CP in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Branik (#13, 0-13) with 17-point margin 95-78. Sencur CP maintains the 2nd position in Slovenian 2SKL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sencur CP will need more victories to improve their 10-3 record. Kosec turned to be Sencur CP's top player in his first season with the team. Kosec has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.6ppg) and averages solid 57.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old forward Miha Markic (200-F-88, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) of Koper. Markic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Koper lost that game 79-85 to slightly higher-ranked Crnomelj (5-8). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Koper dropped in the standings to 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Markic is well-known by Koper fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.4ppg (#1). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Igor Spesic (204-F/C-83) of Terme Olimia (#4). Spesic scored 25 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Spesic's great performance Terme Olimia lost 70-86 to #3 ranked Radenska. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Terme Olimia needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 5 lost games. Spesic has a great season in Slovenia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ales Kunc (208-C-73) of Crnomelj - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Dean Sipura (194-G-87) of Hrastnik - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Crt Lipovsek (194-C-88) of Hrastnik - 28 points and 6 rebounds
7. Nejc Glavas (192-G-86) of Lastovka - 23 points and 3 rebounds
8. Luka Hren (198-G-90) of Parklji - 21 points and 6 rebounds
9. Matic Lozar (92) of Crnomelj - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Aljosa Remus (200-F-86) of Splosna plovba - 15 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
