Former international Point guard Matic Rebec (181-PG-95) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Krka, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage). The 21-year old player was the main contributor (16 points, six rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Hopsi Polzela (#6, 0-2), Second Stage bottom-ranked team 76-64. It allowed Krka to consolidate first place in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Krka won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Rebec had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's his second year at Krka and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Matic Rebec has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.7apg) and averages impressive 58.7% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 22-year old Serbian Nikola Jankovic (207-PF-94, agency: BeoBasket) of Un.Olimpija. Jankovic had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Un.Olimpija was edged by Rogaska (2-0) 75-74. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Jankovic is a newcomer at Un.Olimpija, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was center Ziga Fifolt (211-C-93) of Tajfun (#3). Fifolt scored 14 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Tajfun, leading his team to a 89-54 easy win against Portoroz (#12, 1-11). Tajfun needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Fifolt has a very solid season. In 24 games in Slovenia he scored 6.9ppg. He also has 4.3rpg and FGP: 54.2%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
