Triglav-Grosuplje 64-61: The game saw only three lead changes. Triglav scored 11 straight points to go up 16-14 and had their largest lead of the game at 40-31 early in the third period before Grosuplje went on a 13-1 run ro regain the advantage. Triglav answered with a 9-2 run to take a lead 51-46 and never looked back. Ziva Zdolsek (178-G-89) had 16 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists, Bojana Duric (174-G-91) and Manca Jelenc (172-PG-96) both scored 12 points, Tina Jakovina (182-F-92) added 10 points and Masa Pirsic (184-F-86) grabbed 14 rebounds. Triglav outrebounded Grosuplje 47-32, picking up 16 offensive rebounds. Grosuplje's lone scorer in double digits was Alina Gjerkes (178-F-94) with 26 points, while Barbara Skof (180-F-80) grabbed 11 rebounds.
Subrina Ilirija-Jezica 71-67: All five Ilirija's starters finished with double-figure scoring, while bench players combined for just 13 minutes. Matea Tavic (178-G-92, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 20 points, Anja Klavzar (177-F-90) had 14 points and 8 rebounds, Teja Kropivsek (175-G-89) and Sandra Jevtovic (187-PF-93) both added 12 points and Sara Meden netted 10 points. The largest lead for either team in the game was nine points for Jezica, 21-12 late in the first quarter. Ilirija went on a 10-0 run to take their first advantage of the night, 22-21. After trailing 55-60 early in the final period, Ilirija made a 13-3 run and Matea Tavic and Sandra Jevtovic combined for all 13 points in that crucial span. Jezica was led by Eva Rupnik (177-F-92) with her 23 points, Petra Lumpert (173-G-93) scored 14 and Neza Belak (177-F-92) 12.
Domzale-Odeja 100-70: Domzale reeled off 14 straight points, and later, 16 in a row during the overhelming run that gave it a 30-3 lead. Odeja cut the deficit to 12 early in the final quarter, but Domzale answered with 19 consecutive points. Romana Vukovic (180-F-88) finished with 30 points and 8 rebounds, Helena Boada (174-G-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) collected 27 points, 9 rebounds, 8 steals and 6 assists and Barbara Poljansek (173-F-89) scored 14 points. Odeja outrebounded Domzale 45-39, picking up 18 offensive boards, but they commited 29 turnovers. Jerca Cadez (181-SF-96) scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Pia Prasnikar (178-PF-97) had 18 points and 11 rebounds.

We bring you last week's top performances from Slovenians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88). She could not help San Salvatore (4-4) in their last game. Despite Ljubenovic's very good performance the ninth-placed San Salvatore (4-4) lost in an overtime 72-76 at home to the second-ranked Empoli in the Group A.    [read more]

Athlete Celje easily defeated Domzale 91-37 in the lone game of that weekend. Shante Evans (184-F/C-91, college: Hofstra, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 24 points, Larisa Ocvirk(184-SF-97) 15, Iva Slonjsak (183-SG-97) 14, Andrea Maric (195-C-97) 11 and Annamaria Prezelj (177-SG-97) 10. Here is the weekly review of the top performing Slovenian players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international center Eva Lisec (192-95). She could not help one of league's weakest teams Atomeromu (5-2) in their last game. Despite Lisec's very good performance Atomeromu was edged 58-56 at home by the second-ranked UNI Gyor.    [read more]
