Primorac's double-double lands him Player of the Week award - Feb 17, 2013

Primorac
22-year old center Mladen Primorac (210-C-90) had a very impressive game in the last round for Tajfun and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Polzela (#10, 2-13) 87-72. Tajfun maintains the 4th position in Slovenian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tajfun will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. It's Primorac's second year at Tajfun and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Primorac has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 7.1rpg) and averages solid 56.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Sasa Zagorac (205-F/C-84) of Grosuplje. He is a forward in his first season at Grosuplje. In the last game Zagorac recorded impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Grosuplje lost that game 82-87 to the higher-ranked Maribor Messer (#3, 11-4). Grosuplje is still in a red zone at 9th spot in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Grosuplje managed to get this year. Zagorac is a newcomer at Grosuplje and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Robert Abramovic (185-G-88) of LTHcast Mercator (#7). Abramovic scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds. Despite Abramovic's great performance LTHcast Mercator lost 78-89 to the higher-ranked Zlatorog (#1, 12-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of LTHcast Mercator not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Abramovic could try to bring LTHcast Mercator's a little bit higher in the standings. Abramovic has individually a great season in Slovenia. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (best scorer). He also has FGP: 55.2% and 3PT: 46.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Esmir Rizvic (213-C-82) of Maribor Messer - 18 points and 4 rebounds
5. Anze Pelc (190-G-90) of Tajfun - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists
6. Bojan Jovanovic (186-G-82) of Maribor Messer - 20 points and 7 assists
7. Igor Maric (196-F-85) of Maribor Messer - 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Samo Udrih (195-G-79) of Zlatorog - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Tomo Cajic (200-F/C-85) of LTHcast Mercator - 16 points and 6 rebounds
10. Jure Mocnik (185-PG-85) of Helios - 12 points and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
