Maribor Messer and Tajfun Sentjur took the last two spots for the League Play-Off. The other two who already locked up spots were Zlatorog and Helios.
Slovan and Hopsi, both recorded back to back wins for the first time this season in Round 17. Hopsi handed league-leading Helios its first home loss of the season while Slovan eliminated Rogaska from the League Play-Off.
Helios-Hopsi 74-81: Helios made a 13-2 run to take a lead 63-56 late in third quarter. Hopsi opened the final period with a23-4 run to go up 81-69 with 48 seconds left. Isiah Martin (203-F/C-89, college: Indiana St.) scored 16 of his 20 points in the first halftime, Goran Jagodnik (203-F-74, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points, Danijel Vujasinovic (180-G-89) collected 13 points, 15 assists and 7 rebounds and Hugh Robertson (198-G-89, college: S.Florida) scored 12 points. Helios was led by Damir Rancic (199-G-83) who scored 22 points on shooting 9-of-22 from the field. Aleksandar Ponjavic (198-G-91) added 15 points and Jure Mocnik (185-PG-85) had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
Slovan-Rogaska Crystal 73-71: The game saw just two lead changes. Rogaska had the first, going on a 6-0 run after trailing 10-13. Slovan take a lead at 51-48 late in the third quarter and scored 9 straight points to pushed their advantage to 69-60 with two minutes left. Rogaska cut the deficit to 71-72, but Jure Span (95) made a free throw for Slovan to secure the win. Span finished with game high 21 points, Dejan Mlakar (192-G-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) had 14 points and 7 assists, Nejc Buda (211-C-91, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) added 12 points and Vjekoslav Petrovic (193-G/F-81) collected 11 points and 9 rebounds. Rogaska outrebounded Slovan 33-24. Boban Tomic (190-G-88, agency: Alti Sport) scored 16 points and Milos Miljkovic (204-F/C-84) poured in 13 points.
Tajfun Sentjur-LTH Castings Mercator 76-73: The home team take a lead 20-17 and never looked back from there. They were up 71-63 early in the final quarter and LTH cut the deficit to 73-74 with 1:25 remaining. Anze Pelc (190-G-90) made just one free throw for Tajfun to make the score 75-73. Robert Abramovic (185-G-88) lost the ball and Ivan Drzic (205-C-83) hit only the second free throw, putting Sentjur up 76-73 with four seconds into the game. Tomo Cajic (200-F/C-85) missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer. Anze Pelc had 15 points and 6 assists for Sentjur, Tadej Ferme (187-PG-91) scored 13 points, Ivan Drzic added 11, Primoz Brolih (185-G-81) came off the bench for 10 points and 6 assists and Emir Zimic (215-C-86) grabbed 16 rebounds. LTH was led by Robert Abramovic with his 26 points, Luka Voncina (193-G-91, college: Charlotte) had 15 points and 6 assists, Gregor Jakhel Kolarevic (208-F/C-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) collected 14 points and 9 rebounds and Luka Dimec (207-F/C-90) posted 10 points.
Elektra-Maribor Messer 59-62: Elektra opened the game with a 12-2 run and had the advantage until the final quarter. Maribor scored nine straight points to go up 56-54 with 2:06 remaining. Elektra took the lead back, 57-56 with 1:16 into the game. Jure Pelko (190-G-90) hit a 3-pointer and Bojan Jovanovic (186-G-82) made a pair of free throws to give Maribor s 61-57 lead with 25 seconds left. Andrej Podvrsnik (186-G-87) made a jumper and missed and additional free throw. David Collins (213-C-85, college: Bradley) grabbed and offensive rebound, but Bojan Jovanovic stole the ball from him. Bojan Jovanovic was lone Maribor's scorer in double-figures with 19 pioints while Mensud Julevic (200-PF-85) led Elektra wiith 15 points, Urban Bukovic (186-PG-92) added 12 points, Ziga Zagorc (184-PG-84) posted 10 and David Collins grabbed 10 rebounds.
Grosuplje-Zlatorog 70-69: Marko Antonijevic (189-G-81, agency: Court Side) hit a free throw with two seconds remaining as Grosuplje snapped nine-game losing streak. Marko Antonijevic finished wth 16 points, Sasa Zagorac (205-F/C-84) scored 18 and Igor Tratnik (206-C/F-89) added 10 points. Grosuplje had their largest lead at 54-36 late in the third quarter. Sasa Mucic (202-F-83) hit a 3-pointer for Zlatorog to tie the game at 69 with 12 second left, but his team suffered its first back-to-back loss of the season. Luka Lapornik (195-G-88) netted 19 points, Ante Djugum (211-C-88, agency: Court Side) had 13 points and 9 rebounds and Jaka Brodnik (203-F-92) posted 10 points.

Union Olimpija are still very active in the current transfer period. They continued building a roster for the 2016-17 season by signing promised Jan Barbaric(188-G-95) through the 2017-18 season. Barbaric arrives from Portoroz, where he avaraged 18.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals and 27 Slovenian League games last season. Slovenia - FYR Macedonia 82:67 Slovenia faced FYR Macedonia in the test game in Maribor. The hosts earned a well-deserved victory at the end. Dragan Djuranovic (ex Mladost) joins Rogaska - 10 hours ago

Rogaska Crystal (Liga Nova KBM) agreed terms with 28-year old Bosnian power forward Dragan Djuranovic (203-88). He has played for the last three seasons at Mladost in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. In 32 games he had 11.2ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.3apg, 1.3spg and 1.2bpg last season.
