Goran
Jagodnik
38-year old forward Goran Jagodnik (203-F-74, agency: Beo Basket) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Polzela and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Elektra (#7, 8-10) 75-64. Polzela maintains the 9th position in Slovenian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 13 games and recorded just five victories. Jagodnik just recently signed at Polzela, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Goran Jagodnik averages this season 18.1ppg and 7.9rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Stipe Modric (206-F-79) of Geoplin Slovan. He is naturalized Croatian forward in his first season at Geoplin Slovan. In the last game Modric recorded impressive 25 points and 5 rebounds. Of course Geoplin Slovan cruised to a 87-80 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Maribor Messer (#4, 12-6). This victory allowed Geoplin Slovan to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-10 record. Modric is a newcomer at Geoplin Slovan and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to Djordje Majstorovic (209-C/F-90) of league's second-best Helios. Majstorovic scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Majstorovic's great performance Helios lost 73-75 to #1 ranked Zlatorog. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Helios needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 12 victories and 6 lost games. Majstorovic has a very solid season. In 14 games in Slovenia he scored 7.7ppg. He also has 4.9rpg and FGP: 55.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Esmir Rizvic (213-C-82) of Maribor Messer - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Emir Zimic (215-C-86) of Tajfun - 13 points and 11 rebounds
6. Boban Tomic (190-G-88) of Rogaska - 19 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Dejan Cigoja (205-F-88) of Zlatorog - 18 points and 4 rebounds
8. Sasa Zagorac (205-F/C-84) of Grosuplje - 22 points and 7 rebounds
9. Semir Smajlovic (209-C-87) of Rogaska - 12 points and 12 rebounds
10. Dejan Mlakar (192-G-88) of Geoplin Slovan - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
