   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Goran Dragic (190-86, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the Miami Heat (25-32) in their last game. Despite Dragic's very good performance the Miami Heat (25-32) lost 109-117 at home to the Philadelphia 76ers. He was the top scorer with 30 points. Dragic also added 5 rebounds in 37 minutes on the court. Dragic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.3ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.2apg, 2FGP: 50.4%, 3FGP: 42.8% and FT: 78.5% in 49 games he played so far. Dragic is currently a member of the Slovenian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Aleksej Nikolic (191-95, currently plays in Germany). He led Brose Baskets to a victory over the ninth-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (9-11) 84-75 in the German BBL last Wednesday. Nikolic was MVP of the game. He recorded 17 points. Brose Baskets Bamberg (20-1) is placed second in the BBL. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Nikolic's overall stats this season are: 5.4ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 35.3%, 3FGP: 29.4% and FT: 84.6%. He is in the roster of the Slovenian senior national team.

   #3. The Slovenian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Domen Bratoz (189-93, currently plays in Estonia). Bratoz was the main contributor in Rapla's victory against the seventh-ranked BC Rakvere (5-13) crushing them 91-61 in the Estonian Alexela KML in Wednesday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Bratoz scored 22 points, grabbed 6 boards, passed 5 assists and added 6 steals. AVIS Rapla (11-6) is placed third in the Alexela KML. Bratoz has relatively good stats this season: 13.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 4.1apg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 46.0%, 3FGP: 29.2% and FT: 72.9%. He is also a member of the Slovenian senior national team.

   #4. Point guard Luka Doncic (201-99, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Real Madrid in their game against Unicaja Malaga (13-7) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Doncic scored 6 points in 17 minutes. The league leader Real Madrid lost 78-82 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Unicaja Malaga. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. This year Doncic's overall stats are: 7.9ppg, 3.6rpg and 3.0apg in 19 games. He is also Slovenian national team player.

Vidmar scored only 3 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (13-5) is placed fourth in the BSL. This season Vidmar has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2apg. He plays currently for the Slovenian national team.

   #6. Center Jusuf Nurkic (213-94, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Portland Trail Blazers (23-32) in their last game. Despite Nurkic's good performance the Portland Trail Blazers (23-32) were crushed 111-88 in Salt Lake City by the Utah Jazz. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. Despite his good performance Baloncesto Fuenlabrada lost 76-82 in Bilbao to the higher-ranked (#9) RETAbet BB. Rupnik scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 20 minutes. This year Rupnik's total stats are: 6.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 3.5apg in 14 games. He used to play for the Slovenian national team two years ago.

Guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92, currently plays in France) contributed to a Limoges CSP Elite's victory against the closely-ranked Strasbourg IG (10-9) 83-76 in the French ProA in Saturday night's game. Prepelic was the top player that evening. He recorded 19 points and added 6 assists (made all of his five free throws). Limoges CSP Elite (9-10) is placed ninth in the ProA. This season Prepelic has very high stats. He averages: 16.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 3.4apg. Prepelic plays currently for the Slovenian national team.

   #9. International forward Edo Muric (202-91, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Gasper Vidmar and both played together in the last Turkish BSL game. Muric helped Banvit win their game against the closely-ranked Galatasaray (11-7) 79-64. He scored only 3 points. It's Muric's first season with the team. Muric has averaged so far 7.8ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.9apg. He is also in the roster of the Slovenian national team.

   #10. An experienced small forward Nebojsa Joksimovic (193-81, currently plays in ABA League) couldn't help Cibona (11-11) in their game against Crvena Zvezda (21-1) in the ABA League. Joksimovic recorded 5 points and added 3 passes in 24 minutes. Cibona lost 56-69 in Beograd to the leading Crvena Zvezda. It was Cibona's fifth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the ABA League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Joksimovic has averaged so far 6.7ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.4apg and 1.1spg in 21 games. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the Slovenian senior national team.

   #11. International swingman Jaka Klobucar (198-87, currently plays in Turkey) couldn't help Istanbul BBSK in their game against Besiktas in the Turkish BSL. Despite his good performance last Saturday Klobucar scored 12 points and added 3 passes. Klobucar averaged so far 11.9ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg. He plays currently for the Slovenian national team.

   #12. Former U20 international guard Maj Kovacevic (196-90, currently plays in ABA League) helped his Croatian team KK Zadar win their game against the closely-ranked Mornar Bar 80-62 in the ABA League on Friday night. Kovacevic recorded 10 points and had 3 steals in 19 minutes. Kovacevic has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 1.6apg in five games. He used to play for the Slovenian U20 national team back in 2010.

   #13. Former international power forward Bostjan Nachbar (205-80, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Sevilla in their game against Movil Estudiantes in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Despite his good performance in Sunday night's game Nachbar scored 11 points. Nachbar averaged so far 12.4ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.1apg. He used to play for the Slovenian national team four years ago.

   #14. Former international center Hasan Rizvic (212-84, currently plays in Turkey) was the major contributor in Gelisim's victory against the closely-ranked Final Genclik 94-77 in the Turkish TBL (second division) last Friday. Rizvic scored 18 points, had 4 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 4 shots in 28 minutes. Rizvic has very impressive stats this year: 15.2ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.6apg, 1.6bpg and 1.7spg in 23 games. He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2010.

   #15. Former U20 international guard Boban Tomic (190-88, currently plays in Slovakia) helped Rieker KN edge the closely-ranked Prievidza 101-99 in the Slovakian SBL on Tuesday night. Tomic recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and making 10 passes. Tomic averaged so far 14.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.4apg and 1.6spg. He used to play for the Slovenian U20 national team nine years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Slovenian passport but never been selected to any of Slovenian national teams:

   #1. Kevin Pangos (188-PG-93, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in Lithuania) led Zalgiris to a victory over the eighth-ranked Dzukija (6-17) crushing them 96-68 in the Lithuanian LKL on Sunday night. Pangos was the best player in that game. He scored 15 points and added 3 assists in a mere 16 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Pangos' second season in pro basketball. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (21-2) is placed first in the LKL. This year Pangos' overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.5apg in 23 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Canadian and Slovenian.

   #2. Ivan Marinkovic (209-F/C-93, currently plays in ABA League) was the main contributor in a KK Zadar's victory against the closely-ranked Mornar Bar (7-15) 80-62 in the ABA League last Friday. Marinkovic was the top player that evening. He recorded 17 points. KK Zadar (7-15) closes the standings in the ABA League. But the situation may improve as they ended a series of six consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the ABA League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Marinkovic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg and 6.0rpg. Marinkovic is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Slovenian. Despite his Slovenian nationality, Marinkovic previously played for the Serbian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Slovenian team.

   #3. Rasid Mahalbasic (210-C-90, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain) could not help Sevilla (7-13) in their last game. Despite his good performance Sevilla lost 73-77 at home to the much higher-ranked (#4) Movil Estudiantes. Mahalbasic was the top scorer with 13 points. He also added 9 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was Sevilla's fifth consecutive loss in a row. Mahalbasic's stats this year are: 12.6ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.2apg in 10 games. He has both Austrian and Slovenian nationalities.

   #4. Andraz Kavas (208-F-92, agency: Two Points, college: Harding, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Caceres Basket in their game against Gipuzkoa (17-7) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division), despite his good performance in Friday night's game. Kavas was the second best scorer with 12 points in a mere 16 minutes. But Caceres Basket lost 70-81 on the road to the leading Gipuzkoa. Kavas has averaged so far and 2.3rpg in three games.

   #5. Emanuel Richter (192-G-86, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Jena II (9-10) 97-80 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) on Saturday night. He scored 10 points and added 3 passes in 35 minutes. BG Topstar Leitershofen/Stadtbergen (6-13) is placed 12th in South-East group. Richter's stats this year are: 11.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.8apg and 1.6spg in 16 games.

   #6. Experienced Fuad Memcic (210-C/F-82, agency: Promotex, currently plays in Austria) was not able to secure a victory for Arkadia Lions in their game against Vienna in the Austrian A Bundesliga. He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team were defeated 81-69. Memcic has averaged so far 3.2ppg and 1.6rpg. He also holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian.

   #7. Ljubisa Markovic (212-C/F-91, currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in Aschersleben's victory against the seventh-ranked Westerstede 102-91 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) last Saturday. Markovic had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 34 minutes. Markovic has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 8.6rpg and 2.4apg in 13 games. He holds both Slovenian and Serbian passports.

   #8. Milorad Sedlarevic (201-F-93, currently plays in Canada) couldn't help the University of Prince Edward Island in their game against the Sea Hawks in the Canadian university league CIS, despite his good performance in Saturday night's game. Sedlarevic scored 12 points in 22 minutes. But his team lost 92-106. Sedlarevic's stats this year are: 12.1ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.3apg in 17 games.

   #9. Radoslav Pekovic (215-C-94, currently plays in FYR Macedonia) managed to help KK Kumanovo 2009 to win against the closely-ranked Feni Industries 64-60 in the FYR Macedonian Prva Liga in Saturday night's game. He scored only 2 points. Pekovic has averaged so far 6.0ppg and 3.2rpg.

   #10. Jure Prus (183-G-96, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Northwood University in their game against the Ferris State University in the NCAA2. He scored 6 points and added 5 passes in 19 minutes. His team was crushed by 36 points 107-71 in the NCAA2. Prus has averaged so far 3.2ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.5apg in 21 games.
