Reigning champion Helios Suns grabbed the last spot in the Slovenian League Championship Stage with a 78-58 win over bottom-placed Portoroz in Round 22.

Helios Suns-Portoroz 78-58:
Helios never trailed and took their first double-digit lead of the night at 15-5. The visitiors cut the deficit to 28-30 and they were down by six late in the second quarter. At that point, Helios went on a 19-0 run spanning halftime for a comfortable 57-32 lead. Tomas Kyzlink (195-SG-93) scored 19 points and Juraj Segaric (185-PG-93) 12. Portoroz was outscored 2-23 in the third quarter. Alen Katonar (200-F-92) posted 17 points, Matija Radanovic (202-C-95) 16 and Sebastjan Borse (194-G-95) 10.

Tajfun-LTH Castings 74-61: The game featured just one lead change, midway through the first quarter. Tajfun made a 13-2 run to turn a seven-point deficit into a 18-14 lead. After a 3-pointer by LTH's Jan Rebec (190-G-93), the home team made a 16-2 run to extend their advantage to 34-19. Malcolm Grant (185-G-88, college: Miami, FL) scored 22 points, Tomaz Jereb (192-G-91) came off the bench for 16 points, Khaliq Spicer (206-C-94, college: Kent St., agency: Court Side) added 12 points and Danijel Vujasinovic (184-PG-89) handed out 12 assists. LTH was outscored by 21 points in the second quarter. Luka Grum (194-F-92) scored 16 points, Jan Rebec and Aljaz Stopar (194-F-97) both poured in 12 points.

Zlatorog-Hopsi 64-56: Zlatorog opened the game with an 8-2 run, but Hopsi later went on a 12-2 run that turn a six-point deficit into a 16-12 lead. The home used a 12-0 run to re-take the lead midway through the third quarter, 43-35, and never looked back from there. Zlatorog opened the fourth quarter with an 11-2 run for the largest advantage of the night, 59-44. Zlatorog made just three of its 23 3-point attempts, but outrebounded Hopsi 44-29, picking up 18 offensive boards. Matej Krusic (208-C-87) finished with 18 points, Igor Tratnik (207-F-89) and Jan Span (187-PG-92) added 10 points apiece. Hopsi's lone player in double figures was Dejan Cup (202-PF-83) with 15 points.

Sencur GGD-Krka 62-86: After trailing 29-37 late in the second quarter, Krka went on a 22-0 run spanning halftime to go up 51-37 and took control of the game. Krka had all 12 players score and hit 18 3-pointers on 40 attempts. Klemen Kuznik (188-PG-97) finished with 19 points including five 3-pointers and Darko Jukic (199-G-90) added 11 points. For Sencur, Nejc Martincic (182-PG-97) and Marko Pajic (204-F/C-92) both scored 13 points, Milos Varagic (197-G-87) 11 and Sead Hadzifejzovic (202-F/C-89) grabbed 10 rebounds.
