Lucentum Alicante finished their LEB Gold playoff campaign in style. They stunned River Andorra on the road to claim 3-2 victory in the Finals. Lucentum Alicante thus booked the one remaining qualifying ticket to the ACB. Rafael Huertas (189-G-84, agency: Court Side) stepped up with 22 points to lead the visitors. Alicante started strong and dominated the first half. The visitors fired 21 points in the first period to take a 6-point lead. They erupted for 32 points in the second frame. Alicante gained a 53:42 halftime advantage. River Andorra collapsed in the third term. The hosts scored just 7 points and saw Alicante gain a massive 26-point lead before the final period. River Andorra improved offensively in the fourth quarter but it was too late to save the game. Ford Burgos clinched the Copa Principe title. They held off River Andorra to celebrate the trophy. Isaac Lopez (196-F/G-78) stepped up with 17 points to lead the winners. He was named the MVP of the Final. Ford Burgos led by three points after the opening quarter at the Polideportivo Municipal El Plantio. They stretched the margin in the second frame. Ford Burgos piled up a 37:29 halftime lead. Ford Burgos held River Andorra to 10 points in the third term to stretch the lead. They enjoyed a 9-point advantage before the fourth period. River Andorra exploded with 28 points in the final stanza but could not avoid the loss. Ford Burgos quite matched the effort and rolled to the victory at the end. Alberto Miguel (188-G-77) contributed 14 points, while Lucas Sikma (203-F-89, college: Portland) provided 10 points and 7 rebounds in the win.
