Caja Laboral signed a new deal with Maciej Lampe (210-C-85). The Polish big guy passed the physical tests and he will stay with the former Spanish champion until the end of the 2013/14 season. Lampe joined Caja Laboral last summer, but he got injured during the pre-season. He still didn't make official debut with the team. Lampe spent last two seasons with Unics Kazan. In the latest one he had 18.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 1.5 apg for 26 games in Russian league. He was the top scorer and rebounder of the competition. Eurobasket awarded Lampe with All-Russian PBL Player of the Year -11. Lampe also shined in EuroCup, where he had 15.6 ppg and 8.1 rpg for 16 games. He was named Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Player of the Year -11, while in VTB United league Lampe was named Best Center. Before Unics, Maciej Lampe was a member of Khimky Moscow. He also played for the Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Hornets and Houston Rockets from 2003 to 2006.

Real Madrid claimed the Liga Endesa title. They overcame FCB Regal in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. Rudy Fernandez (198-SF-85) scored 15 points to lead the hosts. It is the first title since 2007 for Real. It was a tough close battle in the first ten minutes. Though Real opened the game on a 10:0 run FCB Regal did not lose concentration. They narrowed the gap at just two-point mark at the first break 18:20. Real increased the tempo in the second period. They limited Barcelona to 14 points in the quarter and opened a 9-point halftime lead. Real strongly entered the second half. They rallied to a 17-point lead midway through the third period. But triples from Sarunas Jasikevicius (192-PG-76, college: Maryland) and Joe Ingles (203-SF-87, agency: Priority Sports) kept the visitors alive. Moreover FCB Regal outscored Real in the period and cut the deficit at 7 points heading into the fourth term. But the hosts never allowed threatening their lead. Real maintained the advantage throughout intense fourth period and marched to the victory at the end.
