The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Pais Vasco (19-5) in Zaragoza on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Casablanca (17-6) 83-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pais Vasco. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Casablanca especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Paula Palomares (170-G-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 assists. Center Marta Garcia (193-86) contributed with 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. point guard Maria Gomez (170-82) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds for Pais Vasco. Casablanca have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Real Canoe. Pais Vasco at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Conquero. Casablanca is looking forward to face Orion-GDKO (#11) in Galdakao in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pais Vasco will play at home against Gernika (#10) and is hoping to win this game.

Other games in round 25 were not that significant.
In Group A Cajacanarias was beaten by Ferrol on the road 83-68. Cortegada won against Guadalajara on its own court 66-48. Caceres outscored Ourense P. in a road game 92-46. Bembibre rolled over ADBA at home 84-49. Aros Leon was defeated by Valladolid on the opponent's court 68-63. Aguere was beaten by Arxil Pontev. in a home game 60-65.
In Group B winless Palma was destroyed by Alcobendas on the road 103-57. Cravic Reus was outscored by Conquero on its own court 63-84. Las Rozas recorded a loss to Gernika in a road game 65-58. Real Canoe defeated Orion-GDKO at home 83-67. Segle XXI was beaten by Irlandesas on the opponent's court 64-48. Eivissa won against Las Gaunas in a home game 76-66.
The most impressive performance of 25th round was 23 points and 10 rebounds by Heta Korpivaara of Ferrol.


Group A
Ferrol - Cajacanarias 83-68

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Universitario de Ferrol (14-7) beat at home 7th ranked Cajacanarias (12-9) 83-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Universitario de Ferrol. Cajacanarias was better in third quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Universitario de Ferrol made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Finnish swingman Heta Korpivaara (187-84, college: Seton Hall) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. American-Dutch center Carrie Snikkers (190-89, college: Hope) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Elisabet Vivas (178-92, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Cajacanarias. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Universitario de Ferrol have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place in Group A with 14-7 record. Loser Cajacanarias dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Universitario de Ferrol will face Aguere (#11) in Santa Cruz de T. in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cajacanarias will play on the road against Alvargomez Guadalajara (#14).

It was a very good performance for Senegalese center Amy Syll (195-93) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 34-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Tynikki Crook (185-89, college: Marshall) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import guard Alysha Harvin (178-88, college: Florida St.) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Kirenia Cabrera (186-84) answered with 14 points and guard Paula Santolaya (172-86) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Las Rozas. It was a great shooting night for Casablanca especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. It was a very good performance for American forward Kate Mills (185-86, college: Massachusetts) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 assists. Forward Eva Lozano (180-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Real Canoe's coach Pablo Roldan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
