The The Regular Season in LFB just ended. Ros Casares is No.1 with impressive 26-0 record. Four teams advanced to Playoff Semifinals, which start on April 7. The format is best-of-three. Pairs are Ros Casares - Rivas Ecopolis and Perfumerias - Girona.

The game was mostly controlled by Hondarribia-Irun. Mann Filter was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hondarribia-Irun forced 20 Mann Filter turnovers. Strangely Mann Filter outrebounded Hondarribia-Irun 36-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. Mann Filter was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Gran Canaria was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-11 charge of Arranz-Jopisa Burgos, which allowed them to win the game. They held Gran Canaria to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.9 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (193-89) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Tanya Broring chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Joventud Mariana's 32. Greek Artemis Spanou (188-F-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Girona and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The 23-year old forward had the game-high 26 points adding six rebounds for Girona in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Mann Filter (#14, 0-1) 67-63. The Regular Season in LFB just started. The round was exceptionally exciting as four games ended with a tiny margin. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Gran Canaria (0-1) in Las Palmas on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Zamarat (1-0) 68-58.
