Second games of Liga Endesa Quarterfinals just ended. Regal Barca, Real Madrid and Caja Laboral eliminated their rivals and booked a spot for the Semis. There, Real Madrid and Caja Laboral will meet each other. The format is best-of-five and first game is scheduled for May 24. Barca will play against the winner of Lagun Aro GBC - Valencia series, which is currently tied at 1-1. They will meet in decisive Game Three on Tuesday. Valencia will be the host.
Lucentum - FCB Regal 57-84 (0-2) The game was mostly controlled by Regal FC Barcelona. Meridiano Alicante was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Regal FC Barcelona made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Senegalese center Boniface Ndong (213-77) scored 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Chuck Eidson (202-80, college: S.Carolina, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Regal FC Barcelona's coach Xavier Pascual felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 9-7. Caja Laboral made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Gescrap BB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Italian-Argentinian guard Pablo Prigioni (191-77) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. In the team's last game Doncic had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Real Madrid and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Doncic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 61.1% FGP and 45.8% from behind 3-point line.
Second best performed player last round was Giorgi Shermadini (217-C-89) of Andorra. He is Georgian center in his 2nd season at Andorra. In the last game Shermadini recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Andorra was edged by the lower-ranked Estudiantes (#11, 4-6) 87-85. This loss caused Andorra to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Shermadini is well-known at Andorra and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.8ppg (#8). He also registered 7.6 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to swingman Deividas Dulkys (195-G/F-88) of Obradoiro (#12). Dulkys scored 24 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Obradoiro, leading his team to a 80-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Joventut (#16, 3-8). The chances of Obradoiro not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Dulkys could try to bring Obradoiro's a little bit higher in the standings. Dulkys has individually a great season in Spain. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.9ppg (7th best). He also has FGP: 54.5% and 3PT: 48.1%.

Mahalbasic just played at Yesilgiresun in Turkish BSL league. In 9 games he had 11.2ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.2spg this season. He also spent pre-season at BC Nizhny Novgorod (VTB) in Russian league earlier that year. Mahalbasic has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013. Mahalbasic was also voted Eurobasket.com All-VTB League 2nd Team in 2016. He won Kazakhstan League championship title in 2015. He has been also a member of Austrian international program for some years. Mahalbasic has regularly played for Austrian senior team since 2008 and previously for U20 National Team between 2009 and 2010.
