We bring you last week's top performances from Spaniards who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Pau Gasol (214-80), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Los Angeles Lakers (41-25) in their last game. Despite Gasol's good performance the Los Angeles Lakers were badly defeated 106-90 on the road by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 16 rebounds. Gasol also added 3 blocks in 44 minutes on the court. It's Gasol's fourth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Gasol averages: 16.6ppg, 10.3rpg, 3.7apg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 49.8%, 3FGP: 29.0% and FT: 78.6% in the 77 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Serge Ibaka (208-89). Ibaka led Oklahoma City Thunder to a 3-point victory against the Los Angeles Lakers (41-25) 103-100 in the NBA last Saturday. He recorded 14 points, 4 rebounds and 5 blocks. The Oklahoma City Thunder has a solid 47-19 record this season. It's Ibaka's first year with the team. Ibaka has relatively good stats this year: 9.2ppg, 7.4rpg, 3.7bpg, 2FGP: 53.8%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 65.9%. He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Spanish. Despite Ibaka played previously for the Congolese national team, he is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

   #3. The Spanish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Tiago Splitter (211-85, agency: Interperformances). Splitter led San Antonio Spurs to a 3-point victory against the Los Angeles Clippers (40-26) 102-99 in the NBA on Sunday night. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. The San Antonio Spurs have a very solid 50-16 record this season. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. It's Splitter's first year with the team. This season Splitter has relatively solid stats: 9.1ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 61.7%(235-381) and FT: 65.7% in the 66 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Spanish. Despite Splitter played previously for the Brazilian national team, he is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

   #4. An experienced forward Angel Santana (198-77, college: St.Francis, NY) led Ploiesti to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Timisoara (17-13) 104-89 in the Romanian Division A in Wednesday night's game. Santana recorded 13 points. CSU Asesoft Ploiesti (20-8) is placed fourth in the Division A. Santana's overall stats this season are: 5.1ppg and 1.7rpg. Despite he played previously for the Brazilian national team, Santana is currently in the Spanish national team roster.

   #5. International point guard Omar Quintero (183-81, college: S.Nazarene) led Tijuana Zonkeys to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Frayles de Guasave (19-19) crushing them 99-78 in the Mexican CIBACOPA last Tuesday. He recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 28 minutes. Zonkeys de Tijuana (26-12) is placed third in the CIBACOPA. Quintero has reliable stats this year: 14.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.6apg in the 33 games. He has both Spanish and Mexican nationalities. Despite Quintero played previously for the Mexican national team, he is currently in the Spanish national team roster.

Round 11 in LEB Silver means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Valladolid where host Blancos de Rueda (6-5) beat league's leader Sammic ISB (7-4) 68-57 on Saturday evening. Sammic ISB was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Croatian Aleksandar Marcius (208-C-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Caceres and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com LEB Gold Player of the Week award for round 12. The 26-year old center had the game-high 23 points adding nine rebounds for Caceres in his team's victory, helping them to beat Araberri (#8, 7-5) 86-80.
