Spain went on an early lead and Cristina Ouvina (174-G-90) brought 16:12. Elisa Aguilar (177-G-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: G.Washington) closed a 6-0 run early in the second, while she later nailed three for 29:14. Mankertz managed to send the teams to the lockers at 35:21 at the halftime. In the second half Spain played even better in defense. Both teams nailed 11 points each in the third quarter, while Spain limited the opponents to just 7 points in the last stanza. Spain won the last period 20-7 and celebrated the second win in Group D. Tintos de Toro Caja Rural Zamora (LFB) landed 22-year old Latvian ex-international forward Linda Rubene (190-91). She just graduated from Indiana (NCAA). The last season Rubene also at Indiana University in Big Ten Conference in the NCAA. But in 24 games she averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.3rpg. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it is her first season in pro basketball. Rubene was also a member of Latvian international program for some years. She played for Latvian Senior National Team in 2010 and previously for U18 National Team in 2009. Rubene represented Latvia at the European Championships U20 in Liepaja (Latvia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 9 games: 0.9ppg. Rubene has played previously for 47.vsk and SK Riga.

Abalde played for Spanish Senior National Team between 2008 and 2012 and previously for U19 National Team in 2007. She represented Spain at the European Championships U20 in Gdynia (Poland) four years ago.
