Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket officially announced singing of a 2+1 year deal with Fran Pilepic (192-G-89). The Croatian guard arrives from Siroki Wwin, where he spent last two seasons. He helped them win two championship titles in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also won two Cup trophies together. Pilepic had 14.8 ppg, 2.3 apg and 2.2 apg for 25 games in Adriatic league last season. In 2010/11, the player had 11.2 ppg and 2.8 rpg in the regional championship. Pilepic was named to Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League 1st Team in 2011 and 2012. Before Siroki, Fran Pilepic played for Svjetlost Slavonski Brod and Kvarner. This summer he made it to the list of 15 candidates of the Croatian National Team from 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications. Last summer he played for Croatian B NT. In the past, Pilepic was a member of U20, U18 and U16 Croatia.

Real Madrid cruised past Blusens Monbus to open win count in the quarterfinal series. It looked good early as Blusens Monbus took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Real Madrid had a 28-11 second period charge getting the lead and Blusens Monbus was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-90. Unicaja Malaga continue to make changes. After parting ways with head coach Jasmin Repesa the Malaga team has reportedly split ways with Krunoslav Simon (197-G/F-85, agency: Beo Basket) and Kosta Perovic (217-C-85).
