Spain U16 finished the home tournament with two losses. After the win over England in Day 1, the hosts lost to Italy and Turkey to finish third. Italy U16 grabbed 86:84 win over Spain U16. The latter started with 20-19 and then led 46:35 at the halftime. The third quarter was decisive in the game and brought 63:62 finish at the end of the quarter. Italy added a narrow win in the last stanza to seal the victory. Riccardo Rossato (185-G-96) erupted with 24 points and Federico Mussini (183-G-96) had 17. Garcia A. replied with 15 points, while Adnam Omeragic (194-G-96) scored 14. In Day 3 Turkey U16 overcame Spain U16 90:81. Turkey opened the game with 24-20 and added massive 28-18 in the second quarter. Turkey won the third period 24-16, but allowed the Spanish side to win the last stanza 27-14. Ulubay top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Egemen Guven added 15. Adnam Omeragic ended up with 19 points in defeat, while Marc Garcia and Carlos Martinez notched 14 each.

Jasmin Repesa is not going to stay with Unicaja Malaga reportedly. The Spanish media reports that the team decided to part ways with the coach after his failure to lead Unicaja into the ACB playoffs.
