CB Conquero Huelva continues with signings for the upcoming season. Their new member is Spanish guard Alba Maria Garcia (173-G-90). She arrives to the club from Caja Rural Valbusenda. Garcia spent last three seasons with Caja Rural averaging 3.3 points and 1.6 rebounds for 26 LFB games in the latest one. They won promotion from LF2 to LFB a year ago. Garcia and her teammates were champions of Group A in LF2. The player had 5.5 ppg and 1.5 rpg for 30 games. Before Caja Rural, Alba Maria Garcia played for Alumisan Pio XII and Baloncesto Feve San Jose Leon. In the past, she was a member of Spanish U16 National Team. They won the gold medal at U16 EuroBasket in Kosice, 2006. Garcia was one of the key players with 10.4 ppg and 2.3 spg for 7 games.

Tintos de Toro Caja Rural Zamora (LFB) landed 22-year old Latvian ex-international forward Linda Rubene (190-91). She just graduated from Indiana (NCAA). The last season Rubene also at Indiana University in Big Ten Conference in the NCAA. But in 24 games she averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.3rpg. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it is her first season in pro basketball. Rubene was also a member of Latvian international program for some years. She played for Latvian Senior National Team in 2010 and previously for U18 National Team in 2009. Rubene represented Latvia at the European Championships U20 in Liepaja (Latvia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 9 games: 0.9ppg. Rubene has played previously for 47.vsk and SK Riga.

The 2011/2012 season she played at Aix-en-Provence in LFB. In 26 games she had 10.3ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.1apg. The most of previous (10-11) season Abalde spent at Navarra Pamplona. In 13 games she had 9.8ppg and 6.1rpg that season. She also played at Rivas Ecopolis earlier that season. In 10 LFB games she had 5.1ppg and 2.5rpg. Abalde also played 5 games in Euroleague where she had 3.2ppg and 1.4rpg. Among other achievements her team made it to the LFB Semifinals in 2009. Abalde received also Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 2nd Team award back in 2009. Tamara Abalde was also a member of Spanish international program for some years. Abalde played for Spanish Senior National Team between 2008 and 2012 and previously for U19 National Team in 2007. She represented Spain at the European Championships U20 in Gdynia (Poland) four years ago. Abalde's team won Silver and her stats at that event were 10 games: 12.4ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.6apg, FGP: 58.3%, 3PT: 21.4%, FT: 73.9%.
