Gran Canaria La Caja de Canarias (LFB) confirmed in their roster 21-year old Spanish international power forward Vanessa Ble (190-91). She is a dual citizen owning also Ivorian passport. Ble played there last season. In 10 Eurocup games she had 9.3ppg, 8.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.6spg. She also played 26 games in LFB where she had 8.9ppg, 10.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.7spg. A very impressive season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All- LFB Honorable Mention. Ble represented Spain at the European Championships U20 in Serbia last year. Her team won Gold and her stats at that event were 9 games: 6.3ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.1apg, 2.2spg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 41.8%, FT: 50.0%. She was called also to senior national team this summer.

Tintos de Toro Caja Rural Zamora (LFB) landed 22-year old Latvian ex-international forward Linda Rubene (190-91). She just graduated from Indiana (NCAA). The last season Rubene also at Indiana University in Big Ten Conference in the NCAA. But in 24 games she averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.3rpg. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it is her first season in pro basketball. Rubene was also a member of Latvian international program for some years. She played for Latvian Senior National Team in 2010 and previously for U18 National Team in 2009. Rubene represented Latvia at the European Championships U20 in Liepaja (Latvia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 9 games: 0.9ppg. Rubene has played previously for 47.vsk and SK Riga.

In 13 games she had 9.8ppg and 6.1rpg that season. She also played at Rivas Ecopolis earlier that season. In 10 LFB games she had 5.1ppg and 2.5rpg. Abalde also played 5 games in Euroleague where she had 3.2ppg and 1.4rpg. Among other achievements her team made it to the LFB Semifinals in 2009. Abalde received also Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 2nd Team award back in 2009. Tamara Abalde was also a member of Spanish international program for some years.
