We bring you last week's top performances from Spaniards who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Silvia Dominguez (167-87, currently plays in Russia). Dominguez contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Rostov (0-2) crushing them 73-45 in the Russian PBL last Thursday. She recorded 9 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. UMMC Ekaterinburg (2-0) is placed fourth in the PBL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Dominguez belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #2. This season she averages: 8.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.0apg. Dominguez is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Sancho Lyttle (192-83, college: Houston, currently plays in Euroleague). She contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Lupa Promotion (0-1) crushing them 79-48 in the Euroleague on Wednesday night. Lyttle recorded 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 18 minutes. It was his first game for Galatasaray this season. Her team is placed first in the Euroleague. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Lyttle is ranked first on the list of the most steals in the league with 6 steals. She has a dual citizenship: Vincentian and Spanish. Despite Lyttle played previously for the Vincentian national team, she played also for the Spanish national team in 2012.

   #3. The Spanish player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international forward Amaya Valdemoro (183-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Turkey. Valdemoro could not help Tarsus Bld (0-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her very good performance Tarsus Bld was defeated 88-81 on the road by the second-ranked Spartak Vidnoye. Valdemoro recorded 16 points. It was his first game for Tarsus Bld this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Valdemoro played for the Spanish national team years ago.

Point guard Nuria Martinez (175-84, currently plays in Turkey) was the major contributor in Kayseri's victory against the 12th-ranked Istanbul Universitesi (0-1) 71-65 in the Turkish TKBL last Saturday. She recorded 13 points and added 4 assists in 28 minutes. It was his first game for Kayseri this season. Her team is placed fifth in the TKBL. . Martinez used to play for the Spanish national team back in 2010.

   #5. International guard Laia Palau (176-79, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Poland was not able to help CCC Polkowice (0-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her good performance CCC Polkowice was defeated in an overtime 86-82 at home by the second-ranked Mondeville. Palau recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. It was his first game for CCC Polkowice this season. . Palau belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #3. She used to play for the Spanish national team earlier this year.

Guard Cristina Ouvina (174-90, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for Wisla Can-Pak (0-1) in their game against Bourges (1-0) in the Euroleague, despite her good performance in Wednesday night's game. Ouvina recorded 10 points, 6 assists and 5 steals in 32 minutes. It was his first game for Wisla Can-Pak this season. But Wisla Can-Pak lost 55-61 on the opponent's court to the leading Bourges. . Ouvina is ranked second on the list of the best passers in the league and also on the list of best blockers (fifth place). She is international player as she played for the Spanish senior team years ago.

International guard Elisa Aguilar (172-76, also represented by Josep and Nicolas, college: G.Washington, currently plays in Russia) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Energy Ivanovo (0-2) crushing them 76-44 in the Russian PBL last Thursday. Aguilar recorded 10 points. Spartak Vidnoe Moscow Region (2-0) is placed third in the PBL. . Aguilar's overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.5spg. She used to play for the Spanish national team earlier this year.

   #8. Center Celia Menendez (188-90, currently plays in Belgium) led R.Spirou Monceau to a victory against the seventh-ranked Point Chaud (2-2) 78-74 in the Belgian Division I on Sunday night. Menendez recorded 17 points in 23 minutes. Spirou Monceau Charleroi (3-1) is placed third in the Division I. . It's Menendez's first season with the team. She has relatively good stats this year: 11.7ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.3spg in the three games she played so far. Menendez used to play for the Spanish U20 national team back in 2010.

International forward Tamara Abalde (190-89, another player represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Aix-en-Provence (2-3) crushing them 81-54 in the French LFB last Saturday. She scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. Basket Landes (3-2) is placed fourth in the LFB. . This year Abalde's overall stats are: 7.8ppg and 3.2rpg in the five games. She used to play for the Spanish national team earlier this year.

   #10. Center Cindy Lima (196-81, another player represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Amaya Valdemoro. But that was another game of her team in Turkish TKBL which we would like to mention. Lima managed to help Tarsus Belediyesi in a victory against the closely-ranked Besiktas (0-1) 67-61. She recorded only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 11 minutes. It was his first game for Tarsus Bld this season. Her team is placed seventh in the TKBL. Lima is international player as years ago she still played for the Spanish senior national team.

   #11. International forward Anna Montanana (186-80, another player represented by Josep and Nicolas, college: G.Washington, currently plays in Turkey) faced previously mentioned Nuria Martinez in the Turkish TKBL last game. Montanana couldn't help Istanbul Universitesi in their game against Kayseri. Despite her good performance last Saturday She recorded 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was his first game for Istanbul Universitesi this season. Montanana used to play for the Spanish national team earlier this year.

   #12. Former U20 international guard Gabriela Ocete (170-88, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to Tarbes' victory against the closely-ranked Mersin 80-68 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. She recorded only 2 points, 6 assists and 3 steals. It was his first game for Tarbes this season. Ocete is currently sixth on the list of best passers and also on the list of most steals (fifth place). She used to play for the Spanish U20 national team back in 2008.


The list of other players, who all have Spanish passport but never been selected to any of Spanish national teams:

   #1. Lorena Infantes (171-PG-81, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Italy) led Orvieto to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Pall.Pozzuoli (0-2) 80-65 in the Italian A1 in Sunday night's game. She scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 35 minutes. Ceprini Costruzioni Orvieto (2-0) is placed first in the A1. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Infantes' first year with the team. Infantes belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #9) and also on the list of best passers (first place). She has very reliable stats this year: 13.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 4.0apg and 2.0spg in the two games she played so far.

   #2. Laura Garcia (176-G-81, currently plays in France) led Union Hainaut to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Tarbes (1-4) 52-50 in the French LFB in Saturday night's game. She was MVP of the game. Garcia scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Union Saint-Amand Porte du Hainaut (1-4) is placed second from the bottom (#13) in the LFB. It was Union Hainaut's first victory after four consecutive loses. . Garcia's overall stats this season are: 8.8ppg and 4.0rpg.

   #3. Experienced Valentina Aragonese (173-F-79, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Ancona's victory against the seventh-ranked Irpino (2-1) 71-61 in the Italian A2 (12th division) on Sunday night. Aragonese scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Free Woman Ancona (0-0) is placed first in South group. . This season Aragonese has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg and 4.0rpg. She has a dual citizenship: Chilean and Spanish. Despite Aragonese's Spanish passport, she previously played for the Chilean national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Spanish team.

   #4. Natasha Lacy (178-G-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: UTEP, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Israel could not help Elitzur Ramla (0-1) to beat Antakya (1-0). She recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in 32 minutes. It was his first game for Elitzur Ramla this season. But Elitzur Ramla lost 63-69 on the road to the leading Antakya. Lacy is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league with 6 assists.

Valencia BC (LF2) inked 23-year old Spaniard swingman Irene Gari (185-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: ProDep Management). She played in the summer at Hindu in Argentinian Superliga. In 11 games she recorded 14.2ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.6apg and 2.1spg. A very good season in her career as she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian Superliga 2nd Team. Ciudad de la Adelantados (LF2) signed 22-year old American forward Caira Washington (188-95). She just graduated from G.Washington (NCAA). Washington has played there for the last four years. In 24 games she had 11.9ppg, 7.9rpg, 2.4apg, 1.1spg and 2.3bpg last season. A very impressive year as she was named to All-Atlantic 10 2nd Team and Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team.
