After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the LFB and who belongs to weaker ones.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LFB took place in Seu D'urgell. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Cadi ICG S. (1-2) to top-ranked Rivas Ecopolis (4-0) 86-83 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 27-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Rivas Ecopolis made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Cadi ICG S. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and Hungarian guard Katalin Honti (177-87) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Cadi ICG S.'s coach Andreu Bou rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rivas Ecopolis have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Cadi ICG S. at the other side dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Rivas Ecopolis are looking forward to face league's second-placed Navarra Pamplona at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cadi ICG S. will play against Caja Rural (#8) in Zamora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Socinsa Bembibre (0-4) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Jopisa Burgos (3-1) 73-42. The winners were led by American Rachel Allison (185-87, college: Baylor) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 rebounds and Laura Gil supported her with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by American center Britany Miller (193-87, college: Florida St.) did not help to save the game for Socinsa Bembibre. Jopisa Burgos have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Jopisa Burgos maintains third position with 3-1 record behind leader Rivas Ecopolis. Socinsa Bembibre at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with four games lost. Jopisa Burgos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Socinsa Bembibre will play at home against Conquero (#9) in Huelva and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 4: Caja Rural lost to Uni Girona on the opponent's court 61-73. Perfumerias managed to outperform Hondar.-Irun in a home game 74-56. Gran Canaria managed to beat Conquero on the road 72-65.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 7 rebounds by Leticia Romero of Gran Canaria.

Uni Girona - Caja Rural 73-61

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Caja Rural (1-3) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Argon Uni Girona (2-1) 73-61. The game was mostly controlled by Argon Uni Girona. Caja Rural was better in second period 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Argon Uni Girona made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by forward Anna Carbo (176-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored that evening 14 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) supported her with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Argon Uni Girona players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by Greek swingman Olga Chatzinikolaou (181-81) did not help to save the game for Caja Rural. Finnish center Taru Tuukkanen (190-77, college: Xavier, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argon Uni Girona moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Perfumerias. Newly promoted Caja Rural keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Conquero and Hondar.-Irun. Argon Uni Girona will play against Perfumerias Avenida (#4) in Salamanca in the next round. Caja Rural will play at home against Cadi ICG S.
