Center Daira Varas (193-C-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Distrito Olimpico, receiving a Eurobasket.com LF2 Player of the Week award for round 10. The 27-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, while her team edged out Picken Claret (#10, 4-5) 70-67. Distrito Olimpico maintains the 3rd position in their group in Spanish LF2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Distrito Olimpico will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Varas has many years of experience at Distrito Olimpico, through which she has constantly improved. Daira Varas has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 53.7% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old American Joy Brown (180-F-93) of Oviedo. Brown had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Oviedo was edged by the higher-ranked Joventut LC (#6, 6-4) 78-74. Oviedo managed to keep the same 14th spot in group A. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Oviedo managed to get this year. Brown is a newcomer at Oviedo, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#1). She also registered 10.3 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was Montenegrin forward Kristina Rakovic (186-F/C-94) of Valencia (#13). Rakovic showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, fourteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Rakovic's great performance Valencia lost 68-73 to the higher-ranked Adareva (#7, 6-4). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Valencia can only dream about fighting for top spots in group B. They have rather bad season and 1-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Rakovic she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Rakovic as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
