We bring you last week's top performances from Spaniards who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Marc Gasol
Marc Gasol
#1. This week's number one is an international center Marc Gasol (216-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in NBA). He led Memphis Grizzlies to a victory over the Utah Jazz (1-3) 103-94 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Gasol was MVP of the game. He recorded 22 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and made 3 blocks (made all of his ten free throws !!!) in 36 minutes on the court. The Memphis Grizzlies have 1-1 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Gasol's fifth year with the team. Gasol has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 21.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 6.0apg, 1.7bpg, 2FGP: 56.8%(21-37) and FT: 95.5%(21-22) in the three games he played so far. Gasol is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

Pau Gasol
Pau Gasol
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Pau Gasol (213-80, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Los Angeles Lakers (1-2) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Gasol's very good performance the Los Angeles Lakers were defeated 99-91 on the road by the Dallas Mavericks. He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 13 rebounds. Gasol also added 6 assists and 3 blocks. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Gasol is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Lakers' roster. This season he has very high stats. Gasol averages: 15.8ppg, 10.3rpg, 3.3apg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 44.6% and FT: 83.3%. He is in the roster of the Spanish senior national team.

Serge Ibaka
Serge Ibaka
#3. The Spanish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Serge Ibaka (208-89, currently plays in NBA). Ibaka was the major contributor in an Oklahoma City Thunder's victory against the Toronto Raptors (1-3) crushing them 108-88 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. He scored 17 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. The Oklahoma City Thunder has 2-2 record this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Ibaka has relatively good stats this season: 10.5ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.3bpg, 2FGP: 55.9%(19-34). He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Spanish. Ex-C.B. L'Hospitalet player is also a member of the Spanish senior national team.

Jose Manuel Calderon
Jose Manuel Calderon
#4. Point guard Jose Manuel Calderon (192-81, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA was not able to help the Toronto Raptors (1-3) in their last game. Despite Calderon's very good performance the Toronto Raptors were edged 90-88 in Indianapolis by the Indiana Pacers. He scored 15 points and added 3 passes in 26 minutes. Calderon has been at the team for eight years. This season Calderon has relatively solid stats: 8.0ppg, 2.8apg and 1.3spg in the four games. He is also Spanish national team player.

Albert Miralles
Albert Miralles
#5. Former international center Albert Miralles (208-82, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for ALBA Berlin (2-2) in their game against Unicaja Malaga (3-1) in the Euroleague. He recorded only 4 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes. The third-placed ALBA Berlin lost 62-67 in Malaga to the second-ranked Unicaja in the group B of Euroleague. It's Miralles' first season with the team. This year Miralles' overall stats are: 6.3ppg and 5.3rpg in the four games. He used to play for the Spanish national team seven years ago.
