There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Leyma Basquet (5-1) on the court of top-ranked River Andorra on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by River Andorra 73-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Leyma Basquet. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 5-0 record before this meeting. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-61. River Andorra forced 23 Leyma Basquet turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when River Andorra made 7 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by Leyma Basquet helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Russian power forward Dmitry Flis (203-84) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Daniel Perez (188-90) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Asier Zengotitabengoa (200-88) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds. Leyma Basquet's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated River Andorra (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted River Andorra maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Leyma Basquet at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second place with one game lost. River Andorra is looking forward to face Planasa NV (#7) in Pamplona in the next round where they are favorite. Leyma Basquet will play at home against Ford Burgos (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

In the last two games of round 6 Melilla was defeated by Lobe Huesca in a road game 98-88. Breogan was beaten by Lucentum at home 73-80. Winless Ourense was destroyed by A.Ford Burgos on the opponent's court 98-76. Clavijo managed to outperform Palencia in a home game 97-87. Forca Lleida recorded a loss to Caceres on the road 81-76.
The best stats of 6th round was 24 points and 10 rebounds by Mario Cabanas of Planasa NV.

Lobe Huesca - Melilla 98-88

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 12th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (1-5) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Lobe Huesca (1-5) 98-88 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Lobe Huesca. Melilla Baloncesto was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Lobe Huesca especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lobe Huesca made 7 blocks. Melilla Baloncesto was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Slovenian guard Sandi Cebular (196-86) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists. American forward Jamar Samuels (200-89, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Lobe Huesca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jesus Castro (191-83) who recorded 20 points and the former international forward Francisco Sanchez (201-79) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lobe Huesca left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Melilla. It was Melilla Baloncesto's fifth loss in a row. Lobe Huesca will face bottom-ranked Ourense (#14) on the road in the next round.
